Well, at least they renamed it. That's a plus.

"fanatic" seems more impressive to me than "super"..... if i had the choice of 100 fanatic medals or 5000 super medals i'd choose the former.

It's still better than 'true' though. :)

It should be Super -> Dedicated -> Die Hard -> Fanatic. .-.

I'm just glad they changed the name from 'true' fan. Whether or not you have a medal doesn't determine how true of a fan you are.

I'm sorry F4 for disagreeing. I understand that it was really a good idea and it will make it for fun. It will also make it more competition and more contribitutions. But, Nothing is good when it is done excessively. Earning the fanatic medal is already a difficult task. I think it should be limited to Fanatic medal. I have seen more than 45% of the people get the Fanatic through cheating and medal whoring. Expecting too much contribution and competition will end up making people spamming and cheating.

I just don't see a greater sense in it. I've always defined a fanatic as a super fan so why create a new one? It just confuses people...

Fanatic sounds more awesome than 'SUPER'!

I think it's about as good as any other medal, anyway. There are the same pros and cons. I definitely wouldn't be complaining if I somehow wound up getting one. And the name is much better than the old "True" fan.
