INTRODUCTION!

I know I had this under the question portion and I oginally considered making this a article under articles but, I wasn't sure if this is article was artical material or not!

Well here it goes and I put it in a more appropriate place now!

My Issues With Fanpop And Why It Isn't As Fun Or
Or Happy Place For Me!

1. People Cheat And Say And Do Bad Things And When They Get Reported Fanpop Usually Looks The Other Way And They Let People Get Away With Stuff!

I happen to know of cheaters asking all there friends to vote for their icon for the pick/poll and they are winning because they cheated and that is not fair to everyone else!

2. People Go To Spots And Make Fun Of Celebrities Or Things The Don't Like! If They Aren't A Fan And They Go To The Spots Just To Be Mean That Is So Childish And Rude!

3. All The Hate Hating Other People For Being Themselves And Being Different!

4. It take way too long to get medals sometimes it takes months and if you have been working hard and contributing you should get the medals and I am not here only for medals but, it is a cool thing to have and it is niceto be rewarded for being a big fan of something!

I know some people who work hard and have only one medal and haven't gotten any in months!

Those Are Some Of The Biggest Reasons Why I Am Upset!

I Thought This Was Suppose To Be A Positive And Fun place But, How Can It Be When People On Here Can Get Away With Anything!

I Know Some People Might Actually Get In Trouble But No Lately!

I Am Outrages And I Might Get Kicked Off Here For Expressing My Feelings But, Enough Is Enough And I Will Not Keep It To Myself!

Well I Don't Know What To Do So I Am Asking The Fans Of Fanpop If They Have Had These Problems And If They Are Sick Of The Unfairness That Is Going On? Feeel That There Is Favoritism Here!

I Really Use To Love Fanpop Because It Use To Be More Fair But, It Has Gone Down Hill!

I Really Hope Things Get Better Here!

I Still Hope To Be On Fanpop But, I Am Very Frustrated And Upset!

I Don't Have Many People To Talk To About This!

thespikedturtle I'm completely open to talk about this, I've noticed all kinds of stuff like that. And what bugged me the most was when a Twilight question was added on the Random spot, and people started attacking it, saying it don't belong there. In my opinion (even though I loathe Twilight) since it is a random spot, anything should be able to fit there!

There's nothing you can do against it, so I wouldn't get too upset about it. Real life isn't fair either and the F4 are doing a great job banning people who have been repeatedly abusive towards others. I wouldn't get too upset about the medals either - as you said, that's not what we are here for, so why bother too much ;) [i]2. Of course it is annoying for us immature/older ones to see things you mentioned, 1000 Twilight related clubs, anti clubs and the like, but again there's just too many fans and spots and you can't really change it, so you better laugh away. Enjoy the good things and fans like Cinders, germany123, Darksarcasm, Missy and all the others who keep fanpop a good place :)

emmett Agreed! It took me ages to get my medals too. And yeah people are bitching heaps, it's awful. Fanpop is supposed to be a nice place with nice fans.

halloula I kinda agree on the part of medals and cheating but here another thing I don't like: Pepole judge without knowing the truth and hate and ask for a peaceful place while they aren't peaceful themselves and judge ppl without looking deep and based on the cover of the book not what's inside of it and be unfair with some users just because they don't have a good relationship with them and I am so with peace and If I was bad with someone somehow PLZ tell me or send me a message!

Milah I agree with some of what you said, but most of what you're saying can't be changed. People make Fanpop what it is. So there are always going to be users who cheat. You can't do anything about that. However, just because they cheat it doesn't give you the right to call them a cheater. Fanpop is also about peace and calling users cheaters is just going to start a lot of controversy. I understand you have a problem with cheating, but the MAJOR problem on Fanpop is spam. Fanpop shouldn't ban users for cheating. They should ban users for being abusive and spamming. So you can't say that they aren't doing anything about it, they ban if they feel it is necessary. They're doing the best they can.

gravity12 Totally true article. I remember going on this club were these two were fighting for no reason at all. I tried to help, but judging by there attitutes not just towards me, but anyone who wanted to try help resolve the problem, they just wanted to continue pointlessly fighting towards the end of time, expecting one of them to win even though the fighting was going nowhere. So I've stopped going to the club simply to avoid them. And now I've came across a new case today were this spammer not also, you know spammed, but he also treated one of my friend's, friends as nothing but a *cough*sexobject*coughcough* before ditching her behind her back and started treating another female Fanpop user as a you-know-what object. I've reported him and yet again, as you've said. Nothing. He's getting away with his cheating, spamming and sexism (forgot to mention he also treats any female as a you-know-what-object). Also I've came across another case today involving the whole 'Joining A Fan Club Only To Hate It' thing. I'm a dedicated Pokemon fan, and even though I've had some unfair things to say sometimes, I'll stick by it no matter how much Nintendo continues to descend to screwing it up in a sense. Anyways, these two fans of what I personally think of a lazy, unoriginal and cheap rip-off of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh (even though I don't watch it) combined called Bakugon joined the Pokemon club, simply to hate the series, content and fans and constantly rant on how Bakugon is so much better and how Pokemon sucks without giving no valid reasons why they think it does. But yeah I just deal with it and I don't really remember who sent it but, they're right that some of the things depend on the fan club(s) you're on.

animegrl52p On the pokemon page, someone said we were freaks and that pokemon sucks. that was mean! We told them 2 stop and they left. But im not sure if itll be this good with other members.

Happy Birthday Fanpop!

Five years ago today, I was sitting in my living room with link, link, and link when together we pressed a button on a keyboard and released Fanpop to the world. We had no idea what was in store for us or for the site, but we had a dream to build something really cool and we hoped others would like it. For months and months we toiled away at our computers designing and coding what you all see today. We talked endlessly about features and ideas. Papa and I mocked them up and Cliff and Michael programmed them into reality. You grow pretty tight when you spend that many days and nights together....

Getting Fed Up with Hate Clubs!

For you fanpoppers who has been on Fanpop for quite some time, and the ones who know the rules, you know that hate clubs are strictly against the rules.

But for you idiots who ask: Join My Hate Club, your chances of getting your club removed are 100%. Especially if it's about Rebecca Black or Justin Bieber. Look, as much as you "hate" anyone, there's no point in making a HATE club about it. It's wrong and mean.

But this one is for people who hate with passion. When you hate someone, you hate them, correct? So making a club that you "hate" them is gonna make you feel good about hating? No,...
