Do Anyone Know What Fanpop Beta Is?

"beta" meant that the site was still in a test version but already released to the public.
you release beta versions so see if your product runs smoothly, needs tweaking,people get it etc
fanpop is no longer in beta ( i think since...december 2008? not sure)BUT they used the old thanksgiving logo..
not sure if they didnt notice or if it was for sentimental reasons...we did love our little beta =P

Short version: Fanpop launched its alpha release in April 2006 (except back then it was called fanspots). Then the site was launched its beta release with the fanpop name in August 2006. Fanpop's official launch (out of beta, as a "finished" product) was on 1 January 2009.
