Fanpop Question

When did 'spots' become 'clubs?'

It's been a while since I've been on, and I'm just curious as to when this change was made. Besides, I'm way too lazy to look it up.

As I recall, the Fanpop staff tried to make this change over a long period of time. That is, they started to make the change more than eighteen months ago - say, summer 2008, but it might even have been longer ago than that - but it was piecemeal. Different parts of the site still said "spots" for ages. When they made most of the changes preparing for the site's launch, it was last December (2008). That's when I'd say it was "official". But astute users will point out that it still says "spots" in certain places, like in the URLs themselves. And if the directory structure of a site doesn't indicate a fundamental truth about that site, I don't know what does. So that's part of why many users still call them clubs.
