not really, since it's centered on communities (spots) where people discuss their interests and post related stuff (articles, photos, art, etc.).
I see FB more like an interactive blogging/relationship device. it's focused on people, while FP is focused on interests/fandoms.

Fanpop also has a better user interface for creating clubs, writing articles, and starting/engaging in discussions. Oh, and the ratings system is vastly superior.
face book is like u log in u r school and college if u r in and make a profile and any one of u r friend have join in after a year face book he will know u r there and then he will mail u and u can exchange mail, photo and so on
face book is not like fanpop i think i have solve u r problem

hi its after a year or 2 also face book proses work its realy good let u r friend now in futher they will keep in touch with u u can also meet u r jr or sr also there unforthnatly it works
kinda because you can blog on your wall and become fans of clubs. on facebook instead of becoming fans of clubs you "like" pages! fanpop has more things to do so its kinda better. whoever said you cant blog on fanpop (blaukat) thats a lie
