Why can't I connect my facebook to fanpop??

Whenever I try, this messege shows up:
We're sorry... currently, connecting to Facebook is unavailable.

About half a year then. Sorry I can't really help, I never tried connecting my profile to facebook, so I wouldn't know if I'd experience the same problem.
