Joined Fanpop for 10 minutes, then IP banned- why?

Hi. So I got my friend to join fanpop, 10 minutes after she joined she got banned.

All that she was able to do within that time is set an icon, join a club and add art to it. (The art was age appropriate and had nothing wrong with it). She was then logged out and banned for "previous abuses"

Then she tried joining again- same result with a quicker time.

I tried contacting the help desk and I didn't get a reply (or it got buried in my inbox), and same result when I posted on Dave's wall. I just pm'd him hoping for a better result but previous experiences make me feel a bit hopeless.

Is there anything we can do to even get an explanation for this? Or any way to fix this?
