Fanpop Question

This person supposedly got 19 Dedicated Fan medals at once!?!?!

^ I didn't even know this was possible O_O, and I spent about four years on this website and have never seen anything of the sort happen before. Not even with megloveskyle who has 328 medals I believe, or other users I know of that have over 100 medals as of now, nor any infamous "medal whores" that I have seen or heard about.

Is this really possible?

About a year ago, Fanpop tweaked its medal system. It made it easier for users to achieve medals. Because of this, many users across the site - including myself - found themselves all of a sudden earning all sorts of medals across the board, due to the new calculations Fanpop was using. During this time, it was certainly possible to obtain many medals all at once - legitimately, and without whoring.

In addition to this, Fanpop awards medals in batches. It seems to recalculate whatever formula every so often, and as a result people tend to get two or three at a time.

In short - no need to get on any high horse or accuse anyone of whoring. It's not a big deal anyway.

Ive been Contributing 2 certain clubs and I Still have no medals, it takes long

It took me a year to get my one fanatic medal, only have 7 so far and have been here slightly over a year

I'm with Cinders. There was a period of time when a lot of us where getting a lot of medals all at once, even in spots we hadn't contributed to in a long time or spots we hadn't contributed to much at all. Fanpop re-evaluated that system quite quickly and now it seems we have a much tighter system than at the time this person got all those medals.

I didn't think it was whoring....it's just that I've never heard of that one before. I mean, the most medals I've had at once was four...including a Die-Hard on an old account I had. But damn...someone must've put in a lot of work to get 19 Dedicated Medals at once. Also, Fanpop tweaked the system? Well, that might explain why everyone seems to have a lot more Die-Hards and fanatics lately, some over 100 medals. I must've missed a lot, lately. :/

I think its possible because if you been contributing alot to 19 clubs they will give you a medal for each club. but you'd have to be really crazy about this site for it to be like that.

Yeah but supposedly this person got them all at once which is fishy, either way, that person's account no longer exists.
