Ooohh cool, so how exactly does the Secret Santa work??

Yeah, how does it work? I would really like to participate, but I have to know HOW first.

List:

Name

Right now, all you have to do is tell me you want to participate.

I will keep an updated list of participants in the first post so you can be SURE I know you're taking part. On November 30th, I'll randomly match up your user names and send you a message with your Secret Santa.

What YOUR job to do after that is make a gift (image, video, soapbox, anything) dedicated to your secret santa and upload it before December 25th (preferably-- but you so long as it's uploaded before New Years).

I know that last year, some people's Secret Santas flaked on them. So this year, I'm supplying an insurance policy.

As I am the creator of this event right now, I won't have a secret santa, SO if you never receive a gift from your SS by New Year's, just let me know and I will pick up the slack (and upbraid the person who was supposed to do it!)

So I'm assuming that the three of you (pollyloveshouse, sappp, and shadowflame) all want to be included? I'll put you on the list. :o)

Some people last year chose to privately send their Secret Santa gift to their user. For example, DarkSarcasm made me several lovely icons, one of which can be seen in my gallery.

I also would recommend writing a story/poem/surprise biography on the user you receive as your SS, though no one did that last year. You could submit it as a soapbox article.

Basically anything that strikes your fancy that you can make for another user. That's how it works.

Keep in mind that if you don't complete your SS by New Years, I will ask you why you didn't. If you were too busy or whatever, don't worry, like I said, I'll cover anyone who didn't receive their gift this year.

Cinders, I was just wondering, how can the Secret Santa be secret if the receiving person can see who posted up the gift?

You don't know who your SS is UNTIL the gift is posted.

If you truly want it to be anonymous, though, even after it is posted, you can e-mail it to me and I will post it for you... But I don't think that is as fun.
