1. link I'm not generally a DMB fan, but I love this song & video. It was a big deal when it first came out, because most of it was shot in a town about 30 minutes from where I live (aka the home of Dave Matthews). The song itself puts you in a good mood, even though the video is kinda sad at first. And it features a young(er) Judah Friedlander! What's not to love?
2. link I've heard people bitch about this video making a political statement by using children - but I think it's fucking brilliant. It really puts things in perspective when you see kids doing this kind of stuff.
3. link The song is good, but the video is better. I saw this video on MTV yeeears ago and it took ages to figure out what it was - because this is an alternate video. The other video is nothing spectacular, but these animations are pretty kick-ass.
4. link A conceptual video by a fan. It's political, but very hard to ignore - and pretty friggin' brilliant. The song is great, too.
5. link This is probably the most powerful anti-war video I've seen. I like that SOAD went to the streets to film this and had actual people voicing their opinions in the form of a music video.

I'm leaving university aahhhhh!!

5 reasons I can't wait to go:
1) No more lectures.
2) No annoying freshers buzzing about (no offence lol)
3) The chance to earn some actual money!
4) No more essays to write.
5) My liver can have a bit of a rest from the ridiculous amount of cheap alcohol at the student union. (It might even start to like me again! lol)

5 reasons I'm pooping my self about leaving:
1) I have to find an actual full time job.
2) No more ridiculously long lie-ins.
3) I can not longer go on spur of the moment nights out in the middle of the week.
4) Having to work out how to make the money I earn cover rent, bills, food, etc.
5) Having to generally grow up and start acting slightly more responsible.

Oh dear can't I just stay in my little uni bubble forever!?!?

Oh and Cinders I went to Egypt in April (so yeah a little late lol). But I didn't go to Ciro I went to Luxor and Karnak (south of Ciro). It was amazing though seeing the tombs, temples and markets, we even went up and saw it in an air balloon. Seriously awesome highly recommend the whole thing to everybody!!

Cinders, I think you got me confused with em_em, I'm not going to Egypt!! I couldn't- I have this weird power that brings dead people back to life whenever I click my fingers and slap my thigh. It's why I can't risk going into cemeteries either. :/

Ten Crazy Things tushtush is Tired of:
1. Inconsistent internet (though hopefully that is now a thing of the past!)
2. Finding babies on her doorstep, wrapped in blankets and placed in a basket, with half a locket and a heartfelt note.
3. Turtles. They're the fake tortoises.
4. Glee being all gimmicky and losing its charm.
5. Men. Can someone please remind me the point of them?
6. Face tattoos. Just because it looks like the sheep is running if you move your cheek, it doesn't mean it's cool. It's just unfair because I keep on thinking a sheep has jumped on you and tried to devour your cheek.
7. Thinking the bath is full and jumping in, only to hit uncushioned porcelain with a sound-barrier-breaking thud, accompanied by the sound of crushed bones.

9. Forgetting to take out her contact lens and then putting a second one on top in the morning and ending up with x-ray vision. It's especially bad on the bus when you're sat next to the man who must eat forty Big Macs a day.

Ten Reasons Why I Like Black Swan *That* Much

10. Winona Ryder continues her run of being in my favourite movies, but still failing to convince me to like her as an actress.

9. Mila Kunis *cough* Her performance was surprisingly awesome.

7. Quite simply, it looks stunning, from costumes to make-up to lighting to sets.

6. Vincent Cassel's revolting performance. Digusting character, brilliantly played. And also Barbara Hersey's disturbing performance as Nina's mother... *shudder* Basically, there isn't a weak link in the acting.

5. Natalie Portman's performance, which is nothing short of legen... wait for it... dary.

4. I won't go so far as to say that it is a wholeheartedly accurate portrayal of mental illness (because I don't believe that can ever be achieved), but I think it comes very close.

3. It can be interpreted in so manys. There are so many theories about the nature of the relationships, what was real and what wasn't etc. As y'all can tell by my top 5 movies, I like movies that screw with reality/time/space/perception.

2. Personally, I think the story is an amplification of the issues that modern Western women face everyday, from sexuality, career pressure, attachment issues, performance, perfection, coping with stress, blah, blah, blah, I could go on forever. But contend that this movie takes prominent women's issues and amplifies them.

1. It's just a damn distrubing story. Every relationship is twisted, every character sick in some way.
