Not to be rude but how can anyone even suggest someone other than Juvia? Erza doesn't fit that template to me nor does Lucy. Juvia has been linked to Gray's life (she is the only one who knows what transpired with Silver and what Gray went through.) and is the only one to ever directly see him cry and have him seek comfort than enclose himself.

Also, Juvia truly and undoubtedly loves Gray. She 'killed' Silver for him and dared to confess despite believing he would hate her for it. She even admitted she will give up pursuing him because she doesn't believe she has the right anymore. Juvia is utterly selfless and will do whatever it takes to help Gray even if it means never having him love her back.

Instead he collapsed into her arms and held her tight and its highly probable they stayed together for the year. The only question regarding Gray and a 'woman' is when he and Juvia will become a romantic couple. For me, I hope Mashima develops them a little more at the moment than instantly make them a couple.
