Dude watch the language lol, and its A unison raid, just like its a unicorn not an unicorn. Anyways a unison raid is the combining or merging of 2 different magic powers to form a single attack more powerful than the attacks done alone/individually and more powerful than both attacks done together without being linked.
It was supposed to be SOO difficult, well until lucy started spamming it.

Rules of unison raid
There must be 2 magic powers for it to work, so one person alone cannot produce a unison raid no matter the amount of magic type he or she can use
There doesn't necessarily have to be 2 magic types for a unison raid, shown when Juvia and Aquarius achieved a unison raid when both use water magic.

This is why no matter the mixture of armours erza uses, she can't achieve a unison raid, nor can Jellal even if he uses fire and star magic, nor can laxus even if he uses lightning and DS lightning magic and light, nor can natsu or even Gajeel when using their LFD/ISD

i dont think it has to be similar magic types, for example ALL of Fairy Tail did a unison raid against Acnologia and they all have very diverse magics. I think the the magic is not what counts but the compatibility between the two or more mages.

Its when two different compatible magus are put together to make an attack. Um, didn't you hear Gray explain on that episode when it was introduced?
