Fairy Tail Question

Erza versus Kagura, your thoughts?

I know that this fight is currently taking place in the manga and we may find the outcome in the next chapter, but i just want to know who you think will pull through :3. I'm gunning for Kagura. Now before half of you sit and rage about how i am out of my mind hear me out. Honestly, they are EQUAL in strength. The stats in the GMG guidebook suggest this too, however i think the fight is then decided based on who's will, resolve and heart. We know Erza has all of these, but why? Because of her nakama, her main drive is to win for her nakama and to be number one right? But what about Kagura's? Are you forgetting she is driven with gaining revenge on Jellal and wants to take out Erza because of her involvement with him? PLUS, she is also now driven to save her nakama as Millianna was captured by Minerva. I'm telling you, revenge trumps friendship in nearly every manga that is half-decent. But that is just my opinion. We can tell because Hiro loves all of his main characters and thinks everyone else is a toilet, he will make Erza win. But what are your thoughts?

Revenge might or might not trump friendship, but remember when it comes to jellal, erza would probably be fighting for love. So do you think Revenge eats Love or the other way around, lol this battle is like the most unpredictable of the lot.

I get where you are coming from, and she hasn't removed the scabbard either, but i need you to remember something, does kagura really have an attack that can take down erza is teh question. Erza in my opinion could have almost island level durability, and along with her herculean armour could be more. Remember she tanked azuma's explosion that had drawn magic power from all fairy tail members on the island, from monsters like Gildarts who could easily be a town level+ to island level buster (remember the whole of mognolia which is like a country in fiore is built to accomdate his passing, and we see why in the episode where he is trolling and trips crashing an entire village,- small town , and this without trying), it also collected magic from makarov, mira, natsu, gray, gajeel, freed, e,t,c and she tanked an explosion of these 2-3 times without armor no less, while it can be argued that asuma couldn't use the power like gildarts can or like makarov can, she still tanked it, and was still able to go on and fight hades, that says a lot for her durability, but that said. Durability feats tend to be associated with blunt attack, cos if kagura can cut away her armor like ikaruga could then she'd simply have to cut her head or for a less messy method, just stab her in a couple of vital spots. So its kinda difficult to scale, put i guess i'd still put my money on erza, she seems to be at a high tier wizard saint level, thanks to the 100 monsters feat, where the S monster was supposed to be difficult for a wizard saint.

and i think the fact that the entire of fairy tail's fate rested on her winning the fight, i supposed it spurred her to push past the pain

In this fight I think Erza will win.She have other armors and for really now she is a bit angry about Milliana ,so she can win not very quickly but more quicklier because she has save Milliana. But in this tune do you think Erza will be full of energy after this fight? I don't think so.If Erza will win this fight I don't think 100 % that she can beat Minerva.

WELL.....ANY NORMAL person would wish Ezra to win...and she very well can (not depending on the author of course.) but i do agree at that this time she might be in a real pinch.... Ezra still has to realize whether she forgives jellal or not.,.not to mention milliana's words to her...Erza is at a total loss here.So i think it should be only natural that kagura might win this time.ALSO, erza still can pull it of in the end because it WAS Minerva that insulted their guild, tortured Lucy to no end and well.. saber tooth DOES need some thrashings so it is tootally needed that she wins against Kagura.... Ezra and Minerva need to have a talk ....but that's only what i think though..........

I get what u are saying, but know that erza doesn't have any conflicted feelings for jellal, its quite simple really, she loves him, and has forgiven him, so i don't think she has to worry about deciding her feelings. To me it might be a question of who is faster but we can only guess when it comes to strength, speed durability and all because quite frankly we know too little of Kagura

Draw? for the erza kagura fight or the whole GMG, cos a draw in erza kagura won't end the GMG unbelievably. Just saying

honestly I understand everybody's views but honestly Im still banking on kagura. Erza I will admit is a beast and can take a lot of punishment but what if kagura decides to bring out the big guns? based on what we have been told we know that I'd kagura were to draw her sword there would be a cataclysm. sorry but the terra clamare was far from cataclysmic. it may have been ridiculously devastating but not cataclysmic. I honestly feel if kagura were angry enough at erza and decided to draw archenemy I am truly sorry but erza will not come close to victory. the chances of archenemy being drawn are very slim at best but that doesn't change the fact that it is a possibility
