Damon's the obvious choice because he was obviously in love with her a lot and I think this would prove he had closure over her.

Why is Bonnie-Bitch even an option?
It would be an insult to Katherine, to my intelligence and to all vampires if Bonnie is able to kill Katherine, a 500-year old vampire on human blood. No way.

I hope Damon kills her, because it would be poetically beautiful/tragic because HE was the one in love with her. And I think Ian and Nina will KILL that scene with their awesome acting. I cant wait for it to happen, I hope it happens! :D

To the people who love her, I know she is a badass interesting character but she NEEDS to die in the end of season 2, because she is evil and she is only in town to ruin the lives of Stefan, Elena and Damon. She has broken Damon's heart and I have a feeling that Katherine would want to KILL Elena at some point when she sees that both Damon and Stefan are in love with Elena. She will get jealous and would want to kill her. I dont know about you guys, but I'd choose Elena over Katherine any day even though I know I will enjoy Katherine's scenes as long as they last ;)

I just think it would be an amazing scene if Damon kills the one he thought was "the love of his life" and realizes that Elena is his true love, not Katherine who manipulated him for 150 years.

Haha, I just put some of the options there for the fun of it. I was pretty sure you guys would only want someone as awesome as or more awesome than Katherine to kill her. :P

Seriously, Bonnie killing Katherine would be an insult... but Uncle John killed Pearl (who was not weak with vervain or anything) and I'm still disappointed about that. >:(

Because if I remember correct Elena killed her in the books, after Damon chose Stefan and Elena over Katherine. I think the writer had it perfect and I hope the show follows that route.

^ TeeFly I see why it would be great if Elena killed her, but the way the show has portrayed Damon as the man who was blindly in love with her and she betrayed him, cost him so much heartache, I think it would be wasting an opportunity for some amazingly emotional scene for Damon. I hope Elena gets involved with the killing of Katherine, but I really want Damon to put the stake in her, look her in the eyes and make her feel how betrayal hurts.

I would love it if Damon AND Elena plotted to kill her...and Stefan was siding with Katherine. Delena in one corner, Stefan and Katherine in another. Don't you think that would be so interesting to watch? Katherine comes to town, twists people's loyalties and relationships and even though Stefan hates her at first, little by little he falls back under her influence because, well, the boy can't help it. Meanwhile, Damon realises that of course he and the entire town of Mystic Falls would be better off without Katherine in it, and Elena will never be safe while Katherine's in the world.

I would so love to see this happen. I don't know if the producers will decide to kill her in Season 2, (it's kind of earlyish for something so major).

Even if I LOVE Katherine, It will be so perfect if Damon killed her to save Elena !
