I just think it's because not a lot of women can handle those cases like Olivia does. Beck was super hard core and even she couldn't handle it. Not that I'm saying women are weak.
Also, I actually think it's good that Liv is the only woman on the squad. Another chick on her turf would take the spotlight off of her.

I agree with svuroxmysox - it would be tough for a woman to handle especially since rape and child cases affect them most (for obvious reasons).

Women in the squad (excepting Liv, who is just amazing), look at the cases and feel emotionally connected to the vicitm, whereas men usually just think the perp a dirtbag.
