Who's your favorite EF character and why????

This is an odd answer for me because I don't generally like the "genki" girl of the series, but I really fell in love with Mizuki Hayama, because she is perhaps the strongest and most beautiful character in the series. The characters of Ef are all suffering inside and are all conflicted in their lives. They are desperately searching for someone to complete them, to love them, to cherish them. To understand who they are.

Mizuki, more than anyone, puts aside her own guilt and pain to love others freely. She's incredibly inspiring and incredibly brave. Like everyone else, she's afraid, but she also overcomes this better than anyone else. Unlike Yuuko, Mizuki's smile is honest because she has nothing to hide.

I love all the characters dearly, but I was angry at all of them at some point during their story arcs. Mizuki, however, surprised me when she fell in love with Kuze; I wasn't expecting her to become such a strong character when I first met her.
