Courtney will be Courtney. Kicking balls is what she does!

Courtney wasn't mean to Duncan. She really loved him. She supported him when he did not sing in TDWT. She cared about him so much, unlike Gwen who left him in a bear's mouth in Greece's Pieces.

Courtney only kicked him there 4 times. and 3 of those times were during pre-relationship/brakeup.

Even if Courtney is being "Courtney", that is no excuse for acting so mean. If you really love your boyfriend, you wouldn't kick him in the balls. Simple as that. You would be nice and support him no matter what. Also, Courtney wasn't that supportive. She may have shown an ounce of possible love, affection, and support a few times. But otherwise, she was out for herself (determined to win at any cost), out for the money (she abandoned Duncan after he wrestled a crocodile and he had a twisted ankle...real nice), she made a list that dictated what he could or could not do (controlling his life), she tried to change him into her mold (the list in TDWT), and just was downright awful to him (seasons 1-3). How is Courtney a good girlfriend? That's right.....she isn't.

there's a possibility that her parents could have written that letter and sent it to Courtney and told her that Duncan needed to change. also, Duncan was dirt poor in tdi and courtney STILL liked him. this was also her first relationship. she didn't know HOW to act. also, after Courtney ran after that group yelling "NO ONE IS STEALING THE MONEY THAT I STOLE!!!!" duncan said, "i love that woman." Courtney wasn't mean to him while they were dating. i mean, sure she yelled at him like, once or twice during TDA while they were dating, but that's it! have you ever even SEEN a married couple?! the wife ALWAYS wants to change this and that. how is Courtney any different?

Parents are irrelevant to this completely! Does the show mention Courtney's parents forcing her to treat him badly and make a list? NO. There are no possibilities. I just go off of the facts of what actually happened. Courtney only liked Duncan in Basic Straining when they actually started talking and hanging out.....sure they had their moments before, but did she actually like him then? And it is unknown whether it was or was not her first relationship. And that is still no excuse. Most people know not to act badly. That's common sense. Who in their right mind says: "Well, this is my first relationship, so I guess I will treat my partner.....badly and mean?" That is illogical!
And I have seen a married couple. The wife is loving and supportive. She treats her husband respectfully and treats him right. And vice versa. Given, they will have arguments, but most couples don't try to change each other. That's poppycock right there. The minute someone wants to change you.....you drop that asshat like a hot rock! They should love you for who you are......no change necessary.

well, no. a relationship is about making compromises. and OF COURSE it didn't mention any parents. Chris HATES Courtney, just like 70% of the TD fans. in her bio, it says that she doesn't have any friends before tdi, so, that probably means she didn't have a boyfriend either. like i said before, she didn't have any friends, so she didn't no IF she WAS acting awful or not.

True...there are compromises made....yet they don't need to be drastic and/or permanent like Courtney was enforcing. But my point is, how would you not know if you were acting awful or not!? When people act mean, they know they are being mean.....it's intentional. And yep....I'm a true Brit at heart! <3 lol

well, not always. for example my friend, let's just call her "x". x and y were once going out, they have broken up now. (the relationship was never permanent) x is now well, hooking up with w, and x and y were having one of those "fake fights over me:p" and x accedentally said, "by the way w is a better kisser than you" and she didn't realize she said something hurtful.

Oh jeez....that sucks. I get that someone can be unintentionally mean. And that totally sucks when that happens, especially if the hatred is directed towards you. I've seen and been in a similar situation. I, however, am judgmental of people who are constantly unintentionally mean.....that type of thing just seems like it's on purpose.

^^ First of all, I would like to say that I'm not bashing anyone or any club. I am stating my opinion on this question. I am saying I find Courtney to have been mean to Duncan during their relationship. That is all. I am also stating a few examples that I feel back up my opinion.
Second of all, I do not care which club you decide to go to. If you go to the DxG fanclub and state your opinion, be my guest. I am not one to stop you from speaking your mind. That is all I am doing here. Please respect that.

and, i just wanna counter agument on what you said in the first comment, it's true that Courtney left him just sitting on the ground. that was wrong of her. *small voice*but at least he was safe..*regular voice* BUT, Gwen left Duncan in the bore bear's mouth, just so she could get the medal, in Greece's Pieces. i seem to remember Courtney asking, "...is Duncan okay?" meaning that she cared.


and, IloveDxC, i agree with bakes on that last comment. bashing would be something like this "THIS SUCKS! DXC SUCKS! DXG RULES!" or vice versa. bashing is an immature thing to do, stating your honest opinion in a seemingly mature way isn't. wow, i feel like the word of reason, now. XD

True....but he wasn't that safe. He had a sprained ankle and he was next to the water where a damn crocodile could come out of at any time. Not to mention, that Courtney has cared only few times. Did she care each time Duncan was almost eliminated? No. Gwen was the only one who was concerned that he may be voted out and went to see the elimination.

she said, "Dunky!"(LOL) and rushed up after him after he was thrown into that underground thingy. i would call that caring. she cared A LOT about him and TDI Basic Straining, when Duncan fell of the branch. so, yeah. that's caring. besides, each time Duncan was almost eliminated in TDWT, DXC, have already broken up. in TDA, Courtney showed up to the game just a few episodes before the merge. she really COULDN'T of "showed up" to those eliminations. and, in each episode when Duncan was in the bottom 2 in TDA, COURTNEY WAS ALREADY THERE on the benches. and she said, "THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!" when Chris pulled that "joke" that Duncan got eliminated instead of Justin, which didn't turn out to be true. AND, when the times when Lindsay and Leshawna got eliminated instead of Duncan, Courtney looked happy. that seems a lot like caring to me.

In TDI when Duncan was facing his phobia, Courtney held his hand and reassures him When Duncan faces his fear, Courtney embraces him into a hug. etc

The list thing was a bit much

Assuming this was her first real relationship (which it probably was), I don't blame her for much of what she did; she probably didn't have much of an idea as to what she was doing. Furthermore, she obviously has anger management issues; I don't think knows how to control herself.

^ Clearly she doesn't have any self-control. But I'm sorry, I disagree with the fact that she "doesn't know how to act in a relationship." EVERYONE knows that you don't hit people.....ANY TIME unless in self defense. Every time Courtney hurt Duncan, it was because she was feeling mean. (Except for the one fighting challenge.)
