I own this song since I wrote it. Anyway I've been wanting to this for a while. I'm more of a songwriter than a storywriter, and I couldn't get this out of mind. So I thought this would be a good idea. I hope you enjoy my first article here ever!
Courtney thought this would never happen. She thought that even though her relationship with Duncan was tough enough already, they would both make it last. But she was wrong. Ever since she found out that Duncan was cheating on her with his and her could've been best friend, Gwen, Courtney instantly broke up with him. As for Duncan, in the end, he chose to stay with Gwen and not to bother with Courtney ever again.

It's been months since Total Drama World Tour ended, and everyone went back home. Courtney went back doing things like she normally did before TDI. But what people didn't know that she was still hurt. Courtney didn't let the pain get into her business and her single life again. Yet she didn't want to get involved in other relationships. It would be too much for her.
Then on one rainy night, Courtney decided to fix her room, getting rid of unwanted and unnecessary items. As going through one of her drawers, she found a box. She opened the box, and in it was something she thought she'll never see again. Something she wanted to forget. The one thing that gave her memories of sweet misery. The wooden skull.
Duncan was the one that made it and gave to Courtney when she was "eliminated" from TDI. That day was full of memories she used to love so much. Her first wild night, her first kiss, her first time when she didn't say goodbye. She remembered how Duncan ran his way to the dock and threw his present to her. She remembered holding it and her first reaction to it. She remembered the last few words she said to him that day, "I'll never forget you."
Courtney started crying in the way that she hadn't did in months. Everything was coming back to her and she regret everything she did to Duncan. She felt that she was responsible for Duncan cheating on her. She thought if she wasn't so tough on Duncan, than things would've been better. Courtney then put the wooden skull away, back into the box and into her drawer.
She starts feeling lonely and her she looked up at the sky from her bedroom window. She sees nothing put puddles and heard the raindrops fall as she sees them. She starts humming a tune she thought of, and she when she starts humming, it usually leads to a song. Courtney loves to sing and does so whenever she's in the mood, unless being told. She sighed and instantly, the words came out of her mouth.
We have been together for a very long timeeee
And I always thought you would be by my side
But ever since you return
you started hanging out with herrrr
And now I know what you were trying to hide
What is with me?
What is with her?
What is with youuu?
No this can't be
I just can't believe
That it's all trueee
How can I forget what has been done?
I'm sorry for having to treat you wrong
I didn't mean it to do it on purpose
And now I see where you exactly belong
You just wanted attention
With a better connection
If I can wish for a better place
I would back in time
Back to the good old days

Duncan thought he couldn't been happier. He was finally home and with the best girlfriend he could ask for. At least he could get away from the Total Drama shit he had to put through. At least it was worth it... or was it?
However, ever since he dated Gwen, she's been acting very strange. She was filled in a bundle of nerves and kept feeling guilty. She just wasn't the same person that he hanged out with a lot. Duncan did everything to make her feel better, but nothing was working. But he did put up with it because he loved her.. or did he?
Then one night, Gwen wanted to be left alone. She said that she's confused and doesn't want Duncan to get involved. He was in his room lying on his bed, bored out of his mind. After a while, he saw a little piece of paper that fell. He was wondering what it was so he then picked it up. But what he didn't know that was something that he thought he got rid of. Something that stated haunting his mind, in a somewhat lovely matter. A picture of his ex-girlfriend, Courtney.
He couldn't stop staring at her beautiful eyes. It made him think about when they were together. He loved her hair, her smile, her laugh, but most of all, her attitude. He couldn't resist the way she yelled at him, get mad at him, and hitting him where it hurts. But Duncan thought he'd been through enough, and then he gets mad at her. He was sick of it and now only wanted to be respected and loved. That's where Gwen came in.
Now he started feeling confused. He ends up regretting everything he did that hurt Courtney. His wished he never got into this mess. He felt so ashamed of himself, but he could never go back and undo it. Duncan then went toward his bedroom window, looking at the stars shining in the sky. He wonders what Courtney was up to.
He sighed and started to hum a tune. Singing was something that kept to himself, or at least was something he kept to himself. Anyway, it wasn't something he would normally do. He does however when he's in the mood and when he's absolutely alone, which he is right now. He sighed, still wondering, and began to sing.
Things had never been the same since we were a-partttt
You'll never know how much I missed you so
She was always there for me
And you keep putting me downnnn
Now I don't know why'd I ever let you go
What is with me?
What is with her?
What is with youuu?
No this can't be
I just can't believe
That it's all trueee
How can I forget what has been done?
I'm sorry for having to treat you wrong
I didn't mean it to do it on purpose
And now I see where you exactly belong
You just wanted attention
With a better connection
If I can wish for a better place
I would back in time
Back to the good old days
Both thought about the other, and they missed each other so much. Too bad they couldn't see each other since they were far away. But they both hope that some day, they'll meet each other again. Their love would stay forever strong, even if the other didn't knew. Till then, they both kept singing, as if they were so close and were able to hear each other. And the night kept going on and on till the day was done.
I can't stop thinking about the times
When shared something real
But you just have to understand
About how I really feel
About us
About her
About youuu
Though this can't be true
I still believe
That we're meant to beee
How can I forget what has been done?
I'm sorry for having to treat you wrong
I didn't mean it to do it on purpose
And now I see where you exactly belong
You just wanted attention
With a better connection
If I can wish for a better place
I would back in time
Back to the good old days
Ohhhh Woahhh
Woahhhh Ohhhh
If I can wish for a better place
I would back in timeeeeee
Back to the good old dayssssss

Might write a part 2. If you want me to, just ask.
Duncan`s POV:I was walking beside Courtney who was following the mystery man.All I could think about was if Courtney liked me more than a friend or at least a friend. She hadn`t talked the whole time we were walking, and I started to get a feeling something was wrong.
Courtney`s POV:I kept walking behind the man."We`re here."the man said simply."And where is here exactly?"I asked looking around."Nivia."he said."Come here."the man said again. After three minutes, the mystery man finally said,"Look down." I looked down and saw something that took my breath out of my soul.
