Duncan and Courtney had finished pasting the pictures on out poster board, looking at it in accomplishment, her smile bright, Courtney crossed her arms. "Nice, huh Duncan?" She asked. Duncan nodded, "Wow, better than i expected, and we can turn it in early." Courtney nodded in agreement, then her eyes connecting to his, making them both vlush, and cover up the awkwardness with fake laughs, then, Courtney's smile disappeared, rememberiung Gwen's mean scowl at her, the way she would knock her whenever she walked passed her, then, Courtney got up, saying, "I got to go, see you tomorrow at school." She sadi, grabbing her purse quickly, and trying to make a run for it without looking rude. Duncan got up, and grabbed her arm, "What's up, looks like somethings bothering you." He said, sounding like he cared and meant it. "It's um, nothing..... Duncan I REALLY have to go." Courtney said. "Courtney, did I do something wrong to you?" He asked. "No, it's just...nothing, i got to go." She said. "How about we go out, just as friends?" He asked, making it CLEAR that he was TOTALLY begging. "Okay, fine, where do you want to go?" She asked. "I know the perfect place." He grabbed her hand, and they ran to his car. "This place is totally awesome Court, you'll love it, and you'll have so much fun." He started the engine, and he drove as fast as he could. Courtney smiled, having a good feeling that she will have a nice time. Duncan parked in the parking lot. "Were here, come on." He said, she walked out of the car noticing that they were in the parking lot of a carnival, tons of people were there, riding on rides, eating cotton candy, doing everything you do at a carnival. "Okay, let's go on some rides, here, bumper cars." Courtney's smile grew brighter, she had never gone on bumper cars before, where she came from, there were no carnivals. "Okay come with me" he grabbed her hand and he pulled her in a car.

Duncan was driving looking at Courtney who had a stuffed penguin in her hand, "You know, Gwen never let me bring her here, she hated carnivals." He said, making Courtney's smile disappear, "Yeah." She shuffled in her seat, Duncan pulled into the driveway, Courtney opened te door, closed it, and ran, without even saying, 'bye'. She was scared, she didn't wnat herself to get hurt...... Then she went to sleep, with Gwen's evil scowl tatooed to the back of her head.
