The two girls sat together in silence,reading the two books in their hands. They were so preoccupied that they almost missed the shouting from downstairs. They gave each other one look before rolling their eyes. Why is it THEY'RE always the normal people?

As Courtney dashed down the stairs,Percy Weasley poked his head out of his room,stopping her in her tracks. He gave her a stern look and sneered,"Could you,by any chance,stop running up and down the stairs? It's not a playground."

"Since when have I goofed off?" Courtney shot back in a snotty way. She let out a 'hmmph!' and continued down the staircase,into the kitchen where Mrs.Weasley was scolding Fred and George,her two rebellious sons.

"Why don't you show where Harry will be sleeping,Ronald?" the prep asked,interrupting the said boy's lecture. The boy with raven hair finally turned to look who was standing in the doorway. His face lit up when he realized it was two of his other best friends.

"He already knows where he's-"

"Now." finished Hermione. Ron finally got it and led Harry towards the staircase the girls had come down from. Along the way,the Quartette ran into Ron's little sister,Ginny. She decided to tag along and followed in suit.

Courtney suddenly found it annoying when Harry,the raven haired boy,began asking millions of questions. She didn't like to talk when she was in a difficult situation. And this one was walking back up the steep stairs with lots of voices buzzing around your head like flies. She could feel her headache increasing.

"Courtney... Courtney! Court!" Harry's voice knocked her from her thoughts. She understood why. Everybody was at least ten steps ahead of her and she was still frozen on the seventh step. She shook her head and proceeded to catch up with her friends and head into Ron's room for a little relief. Her headache seemed to be getting worse.

"Both of them deserve to die." Ron roared ,sitting himself down on his lopsided bed. "Perfect Malfoy and Myers
Yeah right! The Only thing they're good at is shagging girls and leaving them out to dry."

Courtney's head perked up at the sound of Duncan Myers' name. He was her mortal enemy. Since year one at Hogwarts,he's called her names,hexed her,and accused her of embarrassing things. For example,he told all the Slytherin girls that she had rats in her hair and it was extremely contagious. From then on,when any Slytherin female comes near her,they squeal dramatically and run off to who knows where. Courtney Madison absolutely despised him.

"I second that," she declared,glaring at the floor. "Especially Myers. He's such a foul,loathsome,rude,crazy,punky,OGRE!"

Hermione let out a soft giggle,but covered it with a cough. Courtney's eyes shot to her in confusion. "What's so funny?" she asked,folding her arms over her chest.

"Oh nothing. Just the fact that you mumble Duncan's name in your sleep countless times. It's quite adorable if you ask me." Courtney's eyes widened and her cheeks turned into a light pink. She didn't want to believe her,but Courtney knew deep inside that she found Duncan Myers extremely attractive. Not that she'd ever admit it.

"I do not!" Courtney protested angrily.

"Do,too. I've even heard it." Ginny admitted. "I even catch you staring at him a few times in the Great Hall."

"Okay! Can we just drop the subject?" Harry interjected. Courtney huffed and sat back down,glaring Hermione and Ginny. Right now,she wanted to hex the living crap out of them.

"I think they've stopped arguing." Hermione said,trying to cover the awkward silence.

"Who? You and Courtney or the guys downstairs?" Ron asked. Courtney face palmed herself and walked slowly to the door,pressing her ear against it. "Yeah. She isn't yelling anymore. Shall we go help with dinner?"

"I'd be glad to." Ginny smiled,eager to make Courtney happy again. Harry and Ron hesitated,but finally agreed.The whole trip back down the steps barely fixed Courtney's headache,but she was feeling a bit better.

"We're eating out in the garden." Mrs.Weasley informed them when they entered the kitchen again. "There's just not room for twelve people here. Could you take the plates outside,girls?"

Courtney nodded,taking a pile of them in her hands and heading outside where a table was set up. Hermione and Ginny followed close behind,watching Courtney's facial expression in case she wanted to talk to them again.

"Um,Courtney?" Ginny mumbled,setting her pile of plates on the right corner of the table. "W-We wanted to apologize for earlier. We didn't think-"

"It's fine." Courtney interrupted,smiling a bit. "I can get over it." Hermione and Ginny squealed,dashing over and pulling Courtney into a group hug which she gladly returned. But something sat at the pit of Courtney's brain that bothered her to no end.

Was she really into Duncan Myers?
