Courtney's POV: I couldn't help but think that I did something wrong. I got on my my board and paddled out to Duncan.
"Hey are you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, why?" Duncan said.
"I don't know. When you fell on me, you just changed." I said.
Duncan was silent for a moment then spoke.
"I just don't know what to do. I mean, I'm with Gwen, but I have feelings for you. I don't mean to get it all awkward between us, but I need to tell you. I don't want to be in a relationship unless its with you. I've liked you since we were 15." Duncan said.
His words touched my heart. I grabbed his hand, smiled, and said, "I like you too."
We were quiet for a few seconds until i heard Geoff's voice say, "Come on you two! Surf time!" The part I've been dreading. Duncan started paddling toward Geoff and Bridgette as I stayed where I was. I saw Duncan turn back around towards me as he said, "You coming?" I shook my head no.
"Why? What's wrong?" he asked.
I sighed and said, "I didn't surf again after I moved when I was 15. So I forgot how to surf."
Duncan chuckled and said, "I 'll show you how."
He paddled toward the shore as I did the same. Duncan stood in the sand waiting for me.
"Okay, so what you need to do is lay the board in the sand then lay down on top of the board." Duncan said.
Duncan's POV: Courtney laid down on top of the board as I told her to start paddling.
"But I'm in the sand. I can't paddle." Courtney said.
"Just pretend you're in the water. This is how I learned. I know what I'm doing." I said.
My eyes trailed down her body. Her back was arched and ran. I imagined her on top of me with her back arched. I shook off the thought and focused back on surfing.
"Now you're out of the impact zone. Turn your board around, facing the other direction, and look behind you." I said.
Courtney looked behind her then looked up at me. I looked into her eyes without saying anything. After a few seconds, I said, "Don't focus on me. You're waiting for a wave." Courtney giggled and looked back behind her.
"Okay, here comes a wave. Start paddling hard. You're gonna get dragged under by the current if you don't paddle. Okay, the wave is starting to form. Wait for it, wait for it. Now stand up!" I said.
Courtney stood up on the board, spread her legs apart for balance and held her arms out.
"Now ride the wave to the shore." I said.
Courtney pretend to ride the wave to the shore and stepped off. She started laughing, hugged me, and said, "Thank you."
She smelled like vanilla and she was kissed my sun. Our hug broke as she grabbed her board, ran toward the water, and yelled, "Let's go!" I followed her out to the water and say on my board past the impact zone. Courtney got into position and began paddling, then eventually stood up and rode the wave. She did all kinds of tricks and even got a tube in. She yelled in delight and paddled back out to me.
"I did it! I did it!" she yelled.
"I saw. You did good for a girl." I said.
"What is that supposed to mean? Guys are better at everything?" Courtney asked.
I checked her out again as my eyes stopped at her boobs again. They had water droplets on them. Sexy. She was wearing a hot pink bikini and I could see the outline of her nipples, so that just made everything better.
"You said it, not me." I said.
Courtney chuckled then splashed me with water and said, "You're wrong and I'll prove it to you."
"Show me." I said.
Courtney paddled to the shore and motioned me to follow her.
