Doctor Who Question

The Doctor and his handy hand.

When the Doctor came out of the radiation chamber in The End of Time his face had cuts all over and there was a little blood. But why doesn't he bleed after his hand get cut off. I know that he's still within the first fifteen hours of his regeneration, and that he can regrow limbs, but between the time the hand was cut off and the time he grew it back, there should have been (at least) a little blood. Right?

Agreed. They must have thought showing enough blood to be realistic would have been too gory.
