Quite a bit better in my opinion. But the sequel is certainly upper class for sequel standards.

I much prefer the sequel- not only because of the plot & characters (I certainly do love Cody) but because it is set in the place my heart desires the most.

I agree with kiaragirl200. This movie was beyond excellent for a sequel, and had more meaning to it in my eyes. Cody was adorable and had a big heart for animals (like me), and would do anything to stop the cruel McLeach from capturing Marahute the great golden Eagle. This movie is one of my favorites of all time. Disney did a marvelous job with this. 'Tis a pity that this movie is underrated and is shoved aside by later ones like Aladdin and Tarzan.
