John all the frickin way!!!! I mean seriously watch the movie. He is amazing!!!!! Risked his life because he loved Pocahontas, and so nothinbg would happen to Thomas. Also took a bullet to save Powahatan who was going to kill him like five minutes earlier. Can be on the verge of death and come back with, "I've had worse scrapes than this." OHHH I love him!!!!!!!

Also John, but Phoebus risks his life to do the right thing - to not take Frollo's orders in burning that innocent family's house, to run inside the house once it HAD caught fire to rescue the child, to go and look for Esmeralda and the other gypsies to warn them that Frollo was coming. I truly admire him. But John Smith is a very close second.
