I enjoyed both, but I'm pulling for WIR. Fans who know me well here know I'm a big Pixar fan. it's my favorite animation studio quality of their overall portfolio. But I felt that Brave wasn't ambitious enough as a Pixar film and played safe. While WIR was a entertaining beginning to end, and contained a lot of pathos.

I hope it gets the Oscar this year. But the Academy has a huuuuggee Pixar bias, but who knows what will happen! It's high time that Walt Disney Animation Studies actually wins an Oscar for Best Animated Film.

I love Brave, but I felt that for how much hype it was given, it was a pretty tame movie that played off of themes that we've countless times before. WiR on the other hand was an amazing movie, and it's theme wasn't something I expected from Disney. Brave's good, but Wir is fantastic.
