I suppose I should start... From the start!
Walt Disney was born December 5th, 1901
Hermosa, Chicago, Illinois.
Walt, along with his younger sister, Ruth, attended Park School of Marceline in Fall 1909.
Soon He and Ruth started attending a new school, near their new home.
Fast forward in a while Walt is a teen.
He started Alice Comedies with his brother, Roy.
It was reasonably successful!
Oswald the Lucky Rabbit
It was almost instant with success.
He lost the rights.
He felt he needed an icon character someone to replace Oswald.
Walt based his new character off a pet he adopted.
a mouse.
Mickey Mouse
Iwerks reworked with Mickey's appearance, but the mouse's voice and PERSONALITY were provided rom Walt Disney himself in 1947.
Random question, do you think Mortimer Mouse is catchy?
Yeah, neither did Lilian Disney, who renamed Mickey later.
Turns out Mortimer was the name of Mickey's rival for Minnie.
The first cartoon with Mickey Mouse was a silent cartoon, as well as the rest of the shows before.
