I got this Idea from a Book about the disney villains I bought in Disney. It was a cute book, but when It listed the top villains of all time, I disagreed with them. So, I came up with my own list, and here it is. (P.S I have not seen the princess and the frog yet so the villain in that is not listed.)
10. Hades: Lord of the Underworld, Hades was made to funny for him to be put any higher. I mean, he's blue. Not super scary. However if he had been more like the Hades from Greek Mythology, he would have gotten a lot higher.
9. Ursula: now, I always loved Ursula because she was not really evil, but more bad. However she earned extra points for the scene where she grows bigger and her voice gets all creepy.
8. Shan Yu: He always scared me as a child because he was so intense looking. He would have been even scarier if he had gotten more screen time through, that is why he is number 8.
7. Jafar: Jafar always had a scary feeling around him. He was manipulative and cruel. However, he was super evil, just a bad guy that wanted to rule a kingdom. He also was a little to funny to be super evil.
6.Rourke: he is rated so high on my list because he pretends he is the good guy. He really is selfish and only cares for himself and money. He was willing to let an entire city die so he could become more rich.
5.The Evil Queen: Okay, she is pretty evil. I mean, she wanted to kill her own stepdaughter just so she could be the fairest of them all. However she only wanted to be beautiful and was not super scary, that is why she is ranked number 5.
4.Maleficent: with green skin, Maleficent was always scary looking to me. She wanted to kill Sleeping Beauty just because she was not invited to a party. Her pet crow that she had scared me more that she did though.
3. Chernabog: Lord of the Dead, and super creepy. He is said to be one of the darkest villains ever. He calls the dead to do his bidding. He would be number one but he only has about a minute of screen time, not enough to show how super evil he could be.
2. Scar: Scar is pretty evil; he killed his own brother. He wanted power and was cunning and manipulative. He make Simba believe that he was responsible for his fathers death. Very bad dude.
1. Frollo: Number one is the all evil Frollo. He wanted to wipe out all the gypsies and was willing to burn all of paris just to kill one. The thing that is scariest about him is he justified what he was doing. He also tired to kill Quasi as a baby after he killed his mother. That is why he is the creepiest, scariest, and most evil of the Dinsey villains.

It's something i've noticed a lot is that characters like Pocahontas and Esmeralda always get their names mispronounced by people.
Is there a reason for it? I know not everybody is good with names but it's bizarre how it's always the same names and the same mistakes that occur.
It's really strange because other "difficult" names like Jafar or Rapunzel don't get mispronounced that much. And it's not really a difficult name to mispronounce, at least we see how is Pocahontas' name written in the screen (the title). I'm guessing the thing with Esmeralda is people unfamiliar with Spanish, but still, it's a little bizarre.

Okay, I know " The Lion King" is like the almighty oracle to stage and screen critics. But does Every Disney stage adaptation have to be compared to its standards. Im sure Tarzan, The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins and Beauty and the Beast are all just as good as The Lion King. In my honest opinion I think the Lion King has become overrated in the years since its movie release. Even the animated films are compared to it. Not everything needs comparison sometimes things are valuable and noteworthy on their own. The audience reviewed The Little Mermaid and 95% of them loved it. So in the end I think critics are just looking for the bad in things instead of enjoying the show for the masterpiece that it is. I am seeing it this fall on Tour. And I have heard it is great from fellow fanpopers. Peace and take this however you wish.
