I'm halfway done with my article where I do an old vs new of Beauty and the Beast and discuss which is better, the original animated film or the 2017 live-action remake. I just heard that Demi Lovato, one of my all-time favorite singers, had been hospitalized after what many have suspected it was an overdose of heroine because Demi did admit recently she broke her six-year sobriety. From what I've heard she's still alive but it's still very upsetting for me. It's sad that she broke her sobriety but I'm worried about her ending up worse than she is right now or before she got treatment the first time. I recently decided to watch some of the old Disney live-action classics that I've never seen. I started with 'Hocus Pocus' with Bette Midler and 'Life-Size' with Tyra Banks. And oh my God, they were so fun, I can totally see why they became cult classics. Too bad I've never seen them when I was younger. My husband and I just finished watching Love, Simon and I loved loved LOOOOVED it!!! I saw commercials for it and I didn't know what to expect but then I saw so many people on tumblr loving it and I figured "Why not?" **SPOILER ALERT** think some of my most favorite parts were the "role-reversal" scene (the fantasy of kids coming out as straight and the parents reactions), Simon's fantasy of being gay in college, and the parents' talk with him after he had come out. Does anyone else get frustrated when Disney fans (outside of Fanpop) argue about what the Princess lineup is? If I'm reading an article or taking a quiz there'll always be comments saying "where's Esmeralda?" "where's Hercules?" etc. In this recent one there was more than one person annoyed that the author didn't include Hans in the Prince lineup... but Anna & Elsa aren't even in the lineup so why would Hans be. I just got back from The Incredibles 2 and here is what I have to say about it:

Uhhh..... I... I can't believe it.... They.... They did it... They actually did it! They made an amazing film that was actually worth the fourteen-year wait. Plus, all of the family members get a pretty much equal amount of time devoted to them, unlike in the original where it was mostly about Bob. Hey everyone! I'm back from Paris...it was incredible. The food was so delicious and I fell in love with the city. We loved Disneyland Paris so much we bought tickets to go back a second day. The castle in DLP is hands down the best Disney castle in all the parks, it's an attraction unto it's own. Next Disney Stop: Tokyo Disneyland in January! I'm doing this little countdown but I'm not sure whether to eliminate Cinderella or Mulan because Cinderella got 2 out of the only 3 comments but Mulan got more votes by a landslide (Cinderella didn't even get the 2nd most votes). Here's the thing about these Disney remakes when people "What you just want the original story live action?"....Yes, we do, at least I do. It's a bit more nuanced than that, because obviously stuff's gonna change when you translate from animation to live action (and of course improving on the stuff that was lacking in the original) but for the most part, yes, that's what I want.
