I think so. She was supportive with Pocahontas when she told her about John Smith. (although she was shocked at first)

She was only trying to help. By sending Kocoum after Pocahontas, she wasn't distrusting her, she was distrusting John (which was perfectly understandable). She was really loyal. Everything she did was to protect her.

She was just trying to help her best friend in the whole world Pocahontas is like a sister to her and she doesn't want anything bad to happen to her also I love this part in the sequel even though I hate the sequel

I agree, she was trying really hard. Her actions reflected her beliefs that she's doing the right thing (just like Pocahontas).

Trying to help your friend = A good friend.

I think she could have trusted Pocahontas more... On the other hand, she really was trying to help her.

Nakoma is the kind of friend that tries to keep Pocahontas grounded in reality.

It's actually kind of a shame that there aren't friends like her anymore, at least they don't come around that often.

why should she trust Pocahontas more? Pocahontas is like the wind, as the movie kind of says- she isn't always very reliable. She does what she wants a bit too much and doesn't always use sensibility. she follows her heart too much if you ask me, and your heart leads you astray.

and to be honest, I think she's a way better friend to Pocahontas than Poca is to her! Pocahontas basically got the guy Nakoma liked killed, even after that she tried to help her see John again, and she lied for Pocahontas (which I dont think is good but she did it with good intentions at least). what did Pocahontas ever do for her? =P

She could be more trusting but she never means any harm.
