Best live action adaptation ever!

I'm really showing my age here! Lmao. Objectively speaking, I *know* that the latter is a much better production, but there are a few things I really happen to prefer about the former: the music, the prince, the blind casting, the humour. I guess it's the '90s baby in me 😝 Lily James is a considerably stronger actress than Brandy, but I prefer Brandy's singing voice+Bernadette Peters' portrayal of the Evil Stepmother is on par with Cate Blanchett's. Although I really enjoyed Helena Bonham Carter's Fairy Godmother, Whitney Houston's no-nonsense demeanor somehow felt truer to the character's spirit. Did I mention that I love Paolo Montalban?! 😍 😍

I always hated the 1997 one when I was younger. Plus this one has such a sweet approach and really remains faithful to the original while being it's own thing too.

By far! This is wonderful and I consider it as the best Disney remakes ever!
