Yes. I think she become less judgmental. At the beginning of the movie, she judged the townsfolk, diminishing them. But, to love a beast, you have to be unjudgemental.
Everyone changes, she doesn't change much IMO though. But that's one of the reasons why I like her; she wants things to live up to her expectations and she won't change for anyone.
Definitely. She becomes more caring and open to others. When I say this, I mean she expresses herself- she's more free. She'll share her opinion, because she thinks that somebody FINALLY understands her.
There might be something that I've overlooked, but I think she's very much the same as she was at the beginning. The biggest change was her seeing the Beast in a new light, but that was due to the Beast changing, not so much Belle. And I don't think it was just Belle being judgemental of the townpeople that prevented her from being friends with them, I think they were very judgemental of her, just like they were judgemental when it came to Maurice and the Beast.
JungleQueen13 - You're right: the townspeople were judgemental. But that doesn't mean that Belle wasn't. And it doesn't mean that all of them were, either. The baker tried to talk with her, but Belle just rambled about her book instead of asking "how are you? Busy with the orders?". And she called them "Little people".
^Yes, I agree Belle was judgemental of them, and the Beast at first. But I don't see any evidence of her later being less judgemental of people she didn't know well. I don't even know if her attitude towards the townspeople ever changed. She only really changed her mind about the Beast.
She obviously changed her perception of the Beast, but I think her overall personality remained intact.
