Yes, I know we've talked about it before. Bleh, bleh, bleh. I just really want to know what other people really think.

I really adore her. I think she's amazing, and I see her as a role model for girls. Why do you need to have a husband or a wife and act like a perfect, proper princess all of the time? Yes, she whines, she's irresponsible, she makes mistakes. To me her flaws make her more relatable and more realistic. We also have extremely similar personalities, and similar dreams, similar parents, similar situation. I love that she doesn't have a love interest! She's childish and adventurous and so stubborn, and I freakin' love that about her. I could go on for hours talking about how much I love her. I'm so happy she was crowned a Disney Princess. :)

I really don't like her spoiled,immature personality. I never like these qualities in a character.
Her good things are her horse riding and archery skills.

I love Merida, and I do see the cons of her being in the line-up. But I also see new benefits of her being in the line-up too.

She's cool, but I don't like her 3D appearance!

I love Merida! She is my favorite Disney princess. Also I am going to say this, Merida learned her lesson along with her mother at the end of the movie.

Agree with BraBrief...there are worse characters out there, but it really bothers me that her mediocre character is hailed as "better" than the other princesses, even though she is worse than most of them. And she shouldn't be in the line-up.

I agree with anonheart998. I adore her! There's something about her that just makes me smile whenever she's onscreen. I love her adventurous personality, and her flaws make her seem more human. She learned her lesson by the end of the film, thus making her a good inspiration for girls in our society. I'm tired of all the hate and complaining about her that I've been seeing, and I wish she had a higher place on more people's lists.

She's Pixar, she shouldn't be in the lineup, in my opinion. But I definitely agree with Swanpride. She isn't a role model or an inspiration. Learning over the course of an entire film that changing your mother by force was wrong is not something to look up to, nor is her bratty behavior. Not having a love interest does not make one a better role model.

I like her because she is original and relatable, but there are some things I find very bothersome about her. But overall, she just shouldn't be a DP because she's Pixar and too different from all the other DPs.

She's very unoriginal more then what people think about Rapunzel. She may be orginal for a Pixar female but not in the DP line up. We already have had two princesses who didn't get their princes at the end and we have one to many Red Headed Rebels.

I like her, but I don't think she should be in the DP line-up. Mainly because she's Pixar. She should just be a heroine.

I agree with MalloMar, I really, really love her, but I'm kinda neutral on her becoming a DP. On one hand, she's Pixar, doesn't have a prince, doesn't sing, and is a bit too much of a Scottish Ariel, on the other hand, I think it's kinda a plus that she doesn't get a prince, because it shows that girls can be independent, and I really love her relationship with her mom. Then again, the negatives outweigh the positives....

She's alright. Somedays I like her more than others. It just annoys me how she doesn't fit in all of the princess characteristics set by the other girls.

I expected a rebel princess and I got a teen brat.
