NOTE ♥ This is not necessarily my personal opinion but the majority of Fanpoppers' choices.

9. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Despite its lack of appreciation on Fanpop, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs remains an iconic film praised for its groundbreaking animation. Before Snow White, animation in America was used primarily for silly short stories and propoganda. It was considered absurd when Walt himself first embraced the idea of creating a full-length, animated feature film. Critics all thought that no one would ever take a simple, overstretched cartoon seriously on the big screen. But this film changed everything and was the first jewel in a legacy of animated classics. Audiences wept buckets as along with dwarves as they saw the precious little princess in her glass coffin which was extremely peculiar because no one ever thought that they would cry over the death of a cartoon character. The only reasonable explanation for coming in dead last in this countdown is that animation has since improved which is understandable. Snow White's actions can come off slightly choppy and unconvincing and the colour scheme in this film is blander than the later classics. The prince also wasn't an active participant in the plot because of the inexperience in convincingly drawing men, but it is undeniably a fantastic animated film, often praised as the best of its kind.

8. Mulan

Stylistically unique to other princess films, the backgrounds in Mulan are done in watercolour palattes to creat a more simple yet bold and visually stunning film. There is an excellent blend of CGI in sequences such as the huns proceeding down the mountain to attack Shang's army and the crowd watching Mulan battle Shan-Yu on the roof of the Emperor's palace. Needless to say, like all of Disney's theatrical animated classics, the animation is very impressive in the film. But the ones places above it were considered more refined by the majority of voters.

7. Cinderella

Carefully crafted and well polished, Cinderella has gorgeous animation. From the distinct glistening on the floor Cindy scrubs, you can almost feel the texture of the marble tiles. The staircase has a most elegant banister. The wallpaper is detailed and delicately drawn and painted. Besides the immaculate detail in the animation of this film, it is more old-fashioned than the newer fare and thus, like Snow White got booted out due to the fact that Disney has since improved their animating skills. It should also be mentioned that Cinderella's magical dress transformation was known to be Walt's personal favourite piece of animation ever created.

6. Aladdin

Insanely animated, this box office smash pushed boundaries in ways no other Disney film could have imagined. The city of Agrabah is rich in mystery and adventure, which can easily be seen by its sunny, sandy image. The magic carpet is a character that was so wonderfully animated because you have to remember that there honestly was the challenge of hiring an animator to draw a rug and give it a personality through movement which is truly an exciting task. But one of the main things that stands out in impressive animation in Aladdin is the character that stole the show...Genie! The animators did a flawless job in matching up Genie's comedic banter and unstoppable hilarity by having him morph and shapeshift every time there was an impression or joke to be told. Besides this unforgettable sidekick, this film truly mastered a healthy balance between using CGI (for example the tiger head to the Cave of Wonders) and old fashioned animation.

5. The Princess and the Frog

The amazing movie that brought back classic Disney magic after years of straight to DVD crap and a hillbilly teen girl whose secretly a pop star, The Princess and the Frog is a visually jaw-dropping feature. Its fine, detailed portrayal of New Orleans is simply breathtaking and the bayou in which our two leads must journey through is also quite enchanting. Its no wonder that animators drew inspiration from such classics as Bambi and Lady and the Tramp while designing this film. The animation is quite stunning which no one can deny, however some said its heavy use of CGI took away from some of the magic which is why it didn't quite make top four.

4. Pocahontas

This is a truly gorgeous film. Everything is carefully detailed from the ship in which the British settlers arrive to the waterfall in which our heroine canoes down. Everything in this film had to be done with great care and dignity as the film carried more substantial meaning than its predecessors. The CGI enhanced scene in which the leaves surrounding Pocahontas carry their way to the ship in which a wounded John Smith is being taken back to England accompanied with Alan Menken's score can truly send chills down one's spine. Everything in this film is beautiful but its forest backgrounds were considered to be more plain and lacked the extra something that would be needed to make top three.

3. Sleeping Beauty

Praised as one of the most beautiful animated films of all time, Sleeping Beauty is a colourful, dazzling force to be reckoned with. While spending ten years in production of this classic, the goal was simple: make every single frame a piece of artwork. Goal achieved thanks to the late Eyvind Earle, the film's colour stylist and chief background designer. He took great liberty in making a stylistically groundbreaking piece of animation. Everything in Sleeping Beauty is extremely detailed and some particularly fascinating shots truly look as though they were done in CGI which hadn't even been invented yet. Easily one of Disney's most carefully crafted and detailed animated films, Sleeping Beauty is a rare piece of breathtaking, magical eye candy.

2. The Little Mermaid

This sensational masterpiece is proof that the most magnificent things in the world can come straight from our imaginations. The freedom that came in portraying the story of a lovely, longhaired heroine who lived beneath the waves in the ocean was incredible. There were no boundaries in Ariel's movements, nothing was impossible. But there were challenges faced that were overcame with excellence and grace, as is usually the case with Disney. The rays of sunlight from the surface that glimmer on the sea floor and on Ariel's skin is simply genius. The perfect detail in every movement causing bubbles and Ariel's hair constantly swirling around her. Watching The Little Mermaid is like getting lost in a dream that you never want to end. Even the surface scenes were breathtaking (in Flounder's case, literally). The detail inside Eric's kingdom and his castle were astounding and after a string of less than well-received animated flops, The Little Mermaid saved Disney's ass once again.

The most impressive animation in a Disney Princess film comes from...
1. Beauty and the Beast

The ultimate Disney fairy tale classic. A blend of true imagination with the wonderfully animated household object characters and the sophisticated, perfectly detailed backgrounds and settings such as the Beast's castle and the village where Belle and Maurice live. This film not only has spectacular technical animation, but also truly mesmerizing character animation. The Beast is one of the most complex Disney heroes of all time. He was based on a combination of several animals but his eyes are oh so human. You can feel his heartache and his pain just by looking at the glimmer in those baby blues. Belle is also an incredibly animated character. While creating her, the film-makers realized that there goal shouldn't necessarily be to create the most beautiful heroine of all time but to create a credible performance. Belle's beauty shines from within and although some complain about the slight alterations in her appearance, this type of critique can easily be said of other occasionally inconsistent looking characters such as Snow White, Jasmine, and Ariel. This movie is truly a fairy tale book come to life, everything is done in such high quality and with such polish, one can even forget it's animated due to the great story, wonderful music, and ultimately specatacular animation

Aurora walked into the tiny cottage, which she had left at age 16 to become a princess. She sighed and looked around. Memories flooded back of her 5th birthday, the fairies smiling at her and hugging her, giving her a black headband to wear, which she ended up wearing up to her 16th birthday, until it was replaced with a tiara. Aurora frowned and reached up to her tiara and took it off her head, setting it on the small wooden table in the center of the room. She took the small black headband and put it on her head. She smiled and sighed. She felt like Briar Rose again. Aurora turned and smiled,...

A/N#1: So here's Chapter 5, I really don't know where this chapter will
go, I'm just gonna write it and see what comes from it.

Chapter 5:

I could tell my legs were bleeding, they had been dragging me for
atleast 15 minutes and the rocks and twigs had somehow found
their way into my boots scratching against the side and cutting the
skin.
I stopped trying to escape awhile ago, after they had released my feet
I tried to kick and scream for help but it didn't exactly work.
Adam never tried to escape he let them drag him through the forest
without a word. He was being so calm about this that I couldn't...

are alive in my story...so yeah. This is just a chapter...I want to know how this will be received, but dont worry...in this
story our FAVORITE "Pocahontas" couple will be together. Okay! Enjoy!

9. Belle and Adam
I do like Belle, I do like Adam and I do like
them as a couple. I just think their love is not true love because Adam makes himself love Belle. Belle – on the other hand – has no human being around her and Adam is the closest thing to a human (physically) so it’s kinda obvious that Belle falls for him. I would have liked it better, though, if she had fallen for Lumiére X) Anyways, I admit that if you ignore the fact that Adam forces himself to love Belle (yes, that’s what I think) this...

Aurora sighed. Her parents were visiting the king of a foreign country with King Hubert, and Phillip had to take over things at his father's palace while he was away. It was a long, perilous journey, so Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather had accompanied them. Even most of the servants had gone. Only a few of them and Aurora remained on the big, empty palace.
Out of boredom, Aurora reached for a quill pen and parchment, and began a letter to Snow White. The letter invited her to a week-long stay at the castle. She copied the letter off seven more times and sent a copy to each of her friends. The...

9. Mulan- not because she dressed up like a boy, she just has a tomboy look to her. Not real feminine.

8. Pocahontas- I find her to be the plain one but she has alot of spirit and that is what counts.

7. Snow White- I dont know she looks like a munchkin to me in a way. But still there is something a little pretty about her.

6. Cinderella- She also seems a little plain except when she transforms into her ball gown that is an exceptional moment

5. Aurora- She looks her prettiest lying there sleeping with her sunshine hair and red lips, her voice is the one that stands out, by the way she looks best...

9) Snow White
Ahh, the famous line, Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest one of all? The mirror said this young lady, but I beg to differ. She is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, just not as pretty as the others. But hey, this was made in the 30s, ideas of beauty change over the years.

8) Mulan
China's heroine. Her hair is very pretty at the beginning, even still cute when it's short. She has an excuse for not being as pretty as the following, Disney had to make her to be able to pass off for a man.

7) Pocahotas
This girl is absolutely beautiful, graceful, and mature. She has long pure black hair that...

Ok, starting off I don't think Maleficent is in the wrong here I mean if you know anything about her back story you would know that King Stephen and the queen have been terrible to her. Then they don't even invite her to the baby's party. Heck! I would have cursed the child too. Now keeping subject on the Fairies when I was little I didn't really like the fairies they just seemed dumb, and as a 7 year old child I could think of better ways to help out Aurora. MaryWeather the blue fairy says only a true love can break the spell. But if you fast forward a bit she keeps Aurora AWAY from people....

A few months ago it seemed these were popping up pretty often, and I really wanted to make one, but I had a tough time choosing which scene was my favorite from each movie. I didn't include Frozen though, because I'm still unsure what my favorite is. Well, I've finally narrowed it down for the others and came up with something that made me pretty happy, so let's go! I hope you enjoy :)

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

It was extremely tough choosing between With a Smile and a Song and the ending, but With a Smile and a Song wins out for me. The song isn't exactly the reason it places here, but...

Forgive me, my fellow Fanpoppers for the out of character Eugene/Flynn in this poem, but I hope the sheer amount of fluffy Raflynnzel is enough to satisfy you.

The poem is all in Flynn's perspective. It's just about all the things he loves about Rapunzel and about them. Hope you like it and if you didn't, criticism is warmly welcomed! Please leave some comments below! Also, any ideas for a proper title? :)

Caution: FLUFF ENSUES. IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE FLUFF, STEP OUT OF THE FICTION.

My favorite Princess Movies~!

10.Princess and the Frog

Now though I love Tiana this movie was not good. It was uninteresting to me. I was very bored with it. IDK if it was because the main characters were frogs most of the time or because I did not love any of the characters.

9. Sleeping Beauty

Boring. I love Phillip && the fairy scenes but the princess was boring && asleep for a lot of the time.

8. Pocahontas

Now I adore Poca && I think she is beautiful. I dont not like this movie but I just like the others more. I would hsvr liked...

11. Merida (previously 10)

I think she's pretty despite this placement, she has beautiful blue eyes and her hair has such a lovely color, but her face shape bugs me, also while she has a gorgeous haircolor the style of the hair is too curly for my taste. But she does have a cute smile, but it's a weird smile. It's also very hard for me to find good shots of her, the one above is the only shot where I think she's leaning towards beautiful, but I wouldn't...

Kisses
Kisses
I love kisses, both the chocolate kind and the lip to lip kind. But I’m not here to ranking by chocolate kind. I spoil some films in this, (Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Frozen,) and I ranked a kiss (Or two or three) from almost all the films (Mulan didn’t have one that I ranked).

16: Belle and Adam’s the Curse is Broken Kiss
I found this kiss way to passion for me, I mean it looks like he’s about to eat her face off!!! Not my idea as a first kiss. Also the fireworks wreak it for me. But Belle looks beautiful with her hair loss and it’s magical, just please lose the fireworks.

Feel free to express your opinion, but please do so in a mature and considerate fashion. Lets begin!

I think Merida is more cute then she is pretty and she kind of looks funny from the side view. Her mother is pretty than her, but I think Merida has very beautiful eyes. Her eyes are blue (my favorite color)...
