The five princesses then got out of their seats to hold the door open for the newcomer. “Hold it!” a voice stated, and all of a sudden, there was a tumble. The princesses looked around and found the new girl tumbled on her face. She was definitely unique looking, with this very long, very red hair and her very large blue eyes, and wore this pink and white gown.
“Are you all right?” Snow White asked instantly, lifting up the newcomer.
“Oh, I think so,” the newcomer brightly responded. “I haven’t been a human for all my life, so I’m still getting used to being human now.”
    “What?” the others exclaimed.
“Well, long story,” the girl began before saying, “Oh, my name’s Ariel by the way.” Ariel turned around to the others and stood up and began with, “I wanted to leave the sea, I loved my Daddy and all but I wanted to be part of the human world.”
“You left your father?” Belle asked confusedly. “Why would you do that?”
“He’s strict…and harsh…” Ariel began, but Belle told her, “Wouldn’t you do anything for your father?”
“I…” Ariel began to say, but Cinderella cut her off. “Continue on with your story, Ariel.”
“Anyway, I traded my voice with the sea witch in order to receive legs and get away from the sea…” Ariel continued.
“That is brave of you,” Snow White told her. “But why would you trade in your voice for anything? Do you have a bad singing voice or something? Aw, it’s all right if you do, but I can surely help you out.”
Snow White began to sing, “Someday my prince will come, some…,” before Jasmine, thoroughly annoyed, walked over to Snow White and told her, “Stop!”
Snow White told her, “Why?”
Jasmine replied, “That song has bad morals too it. It encourages us to just sit around and wait for our prince.”
“But it worked for me,” Snow White insisted with a pleading tone to her voice. “Can’t you just let me sing it? I’m trying to tutor Ariel.”
“I can sing,” Ariel told Snow White and Jasmine. Ariel began to sing out in this youthful, beautiful voice, “I don’t know when, I don’t know how, but I know something’s starting right now! Watch and you’ll see, someday I’ll be, part of your world!”
The other princesses were quiet before Cinderella stated, “Nice singing voice,”
Lumiere then bounced in and stated, “Tres bon!”
Ariel then gasped and excitedly looked at Lumiere. “Why! This is exciting!” she spoke curiously. “This castle must be neat, if there are talking objects in here!”
She then grabbed Cogsworth, who was trailing back, and started twisting his knob. “Oh, so this is neat,” Ariel told them, smiling. “Who’s castle is this?”
    “Mine,” Belle told her.
“I know you must have a lot of stuff in this castle that is enchanted,” Ariel replied grinning. “I’m going to take a look and explore the castle myself.”
Ariel began to lightly take off and sprinted up the stairs clumsily but quickly. All of a sudden though, Aurora, who apparently fell asleep after Ariel came in, rubbed her eyes and stated, “Where did Ariel go?”
“Up the stairs to explore,” Belle told her.
Aurora all of a sudden looked wide awake. “She can’t go snooping through the house…it is improper.”
“Wait, Aurora!” Belle pleaded as Aurora decided to follow Ariel through the house, before loudly telling her, “Make sure Ariel doesn’t go in the West Wing!”

Ariel managed to climb one flight of stairs and peered into each room, one by one. “I wonder where the enchantment is,” Ariel told herself, smiling. “It would be neat to find things there.”
Aurora finally managed to catch up with her and told her, “Why, there you are, Ariel.”
    “What’s your name?” Ariel asked.
“My name is Aurora,” Aurora replied. Aurora then stated, “Dinner is served, you know, why don’t you come down for that?”
“I don’t care,” Ariel replied curiously. “I want to explore the house…”
“Fine, if you wish for a bit, but don’t go into the West Wing…” Aurora began to say, before realizing Ariel was gone. “Come back, Ariel!” Aurora told her as Ariel surprisingly quickly took off to the West side of the castle.
“Oh no, not the West Wing,” Aurora muttered, as Ariel, very curious about what was in there, excitedly dashed past. Ariel was nearly there now…she was reaching the top step that lead to the corridor which marked the beginning of the West Wing.
With Aurora still on her heels, Ariel decided to hide behind a suit of armor while Aurora continued to look. “Ariel, Ariel, get back here,” Aurora stated.
Ariel didn’t listen to Aurora though, and decided to continue on. “I want to see what is in the West Wing,” Ariel told Aurora with great vigor.
“But there is no need for this! “ Aurora replied, gasping for breath. “Come on, just get back to dinner…the others will start without you without me around to stop them.”
Ariel didn’t listen though, for soon she decided to open the door and inside she was in a little hallway that slightly preceded the West Wing.
“Ariel, just stop exploring!” Aurora told her impatiently. “Get back to dinner, and it is not ladylike to check this place out.”
“I just want to know what is in here,” Ariel stated excitedly. “I wonder what other mysteries humans have in this place, there has to be unique stuff if the others don’t want me to see it…”
Aurora tried grabbing Ariel to pull her back, but Ariel managed to pull Aurora into the West Wing and then they shut the door.
“You shouldn’t have come in here!” Aurora stated.
“You shouldn’t have held me back!” Ariel replied.
However, just as they continued arguing, a voice from the West Wing told them, “Hello girls…I have been waiting for you for quite some time.”

So, we did this countdown a while ago, but I’ve wanted to write my personal opinions on it, and the articles I’ve written since just seemed to fit with the timing better, so this one kept getting pushed back. Sorry about that! However, if my writing this late keeps the conversation going, I’m glad I kept pushing it back!
Warning: Tiana’s section contains a LONG rant.

10. Aurora
Aurora doesn’t really do much in her movie, heck, she isn’t even really the protagonist. This film isn’t really about what Aurora does but more what happens to Aurora. Aurora sets very little of the film in...

Why must they all be so lovable?
Why must they all be so lovable?

Oh my God...why can't my list ever stay the same! I swear, I feel like it's constantly changing...what am I saying; IT IS constantly changing. I can't help it! Each time I watch one of their movies, my opinion changes. Let me get one thing straight...I do not dislike ANY of them. There are some that I just LOVE, and others I just "like". So don't be offended if you find your favorite Princess low on my list. I like her...just the others a little more.

10. Tiana (#9 on my last list)

So…some of y’all might remember that when I first join Fanpop, I did a Best DP Mother countdown. And now I have finally got around to making the article. Enjoy…

10---Mulan
Poor Mulan…I totally disagree on her placement in this countdown, but this is all of the DP Club’s opinion. I thought that Mulan would be a great mom, as the kids in the second movie adored her, but other fans bring up a good point. Since Mulan is a solider, she would be away from home a lot. And since Shang’s in the army too, there wouldn’t be anyone to be with the kids. Mulan’s also pretty dedicated to the...

10.Ariel & Eric's wedding kiss
Coming in at number 10 is Ariel & Eric's wedding kiss. This kiss is so happy because it shows that Ariel and Eric have finally acheived their goals. Ariel has finally snagged her man after all her hard work, and Eric has finally got the girl with the beautiful voice.

I started this countdown when it was Couples Month, but I had a lot of personal stuff going on, so it took me a while to get back on track and finish it.
Whether it's a kiss at a wedding, a kiss that brings about a wondrous transformation, or if it's a kiss for a dead person, we all voted and the results are in!
