On the Ninth Day of Princess Walt Disney gave to me

Nine Ships are sailing

eight mice a-sewing
seven dwarves dancing
six sisters singing
five cursed friend

four braiding girls
three fairy spells
two lucky pals
and the wisdom of an old tree.

If you ever want to establish a new international holiday, do it in September. I am serious, there are surprisingly few actual holidays in this month - but a lot of really weird ones. I was kind of tempted to mark "Talk like a Pirate Day" in the calendar for that reason alone, but soon I had two hot contenders. One was Heritage Day which would have most likely been my pick if Moana had still been an option for this page. But the princess I went for was Aurora.

It was just logical for me. She is supposed to pick "berries for the winter", but the woods are still fairly green, so for me she had to represent September. And once I realised that in her movie is a song about getting drunk, I knew that I had to pick Octoberfest for this month. Yes, Octoberfest is celebrated in September. Not that I ever participated, since it is a Bavarian tradition and I am from an entirely different area of Germany. But I felt of all the options I discovered, this was still the best pick. Even though I am not quite happy with the icon I created, but I hope at least some of you will enjoy it.

I also hope that you'll head over to the image sections and at least take a look at the wallpapers I created...of all I did, those are my favourite ones. The concept art for Sleeping Beauty is just stunningly beautiful.

For the gold version of her, I naturally combined her with thorns and a rose.

And as usual I also did a version without Aurora.

The most difficult part was the pick a God for Aurora to represent...well, actually, it was fairly easy to pick one, the problem was ore that the one I had in mind isn't one of the 12 Olympians. Oh well, let's throw Vulcan out and replace him instead with a mixture Hypnos/Somnos and Morpheus, making Aurora the Goddess of Sleep and Dreams.

And naturally I also did a banner.

I am still pretty busy, but hopefully I'll manage to upload the next article this weekend. Also, for those who like my Dress-up Doll contest a reminder to vote at the last poll. So far there are only two comments, it's not really enough to determine a clear winner and I would prefer to not rerun it.

Please note that this is a countdown where we users make a lot of assumptions and don't provide proof of anything. This is for the amusement so please don't kill the fun :)

11. Prince
The Prince from Snow White comes in last place, can't say I'm stunned. At that time, Disney animators haven't mastered drawing male characters yet so I'm guessing what's underneath isn't HD quality either. He's also quite feminine looking, petite frame with soft edges. No worries though, Snow White loves his man for his huuuuuuuge heart :)

10. Charming
Nope, still not quite there with drawing men. Charming...

One of my favorite songs of all time.
One of my favorite songs of all time.
Disney's Frozen is receiving rave reviews, and the song"Let It Go"is one of the highlights of the film.Don't take my word for it-Wikipedia,as usual is great for such simple backround facts.I have decided that Elsa is my favorite Disney character, but I'm having internal debate whether"Let It Go"is my favorite Disney song-time will tell, but I'm leaning towards"yes".On my Google search history, there are queries such as "Let It Go is brilliant" and "Frozen Let It Go analysis",but having found nothing satisfactory,I've decided to write this post instead.
There has been much written about Let It...

I've never done this before. And as a new user, I'm pretty sure that I'm dipping into a kind of no-man's land, here.

I primarily judge Disney princesses not by their looks or anything, but by their character, and by their plot-lines. Some of the Disney princesses are less developed than others, in my opinion, and that might be partially due to the story/plot-line itself ( as most of Disney is adaptation-based).

Some of the characteristics of each princess I find admirable, while other traits I just find...for lack of a better term...irritating. Yeah.

I'm going to rate the Disney princesses...

This is a serious article. Eyebrows frame your face so you need to have the right pair. I spend way too much time plucking and grooming my eyebrows so yeah, I think eyebrows are very aesthetically important. I noticed the results look a bit like my non-existent prettiest Princess list with a few exceptions of course.

13. Mulan
They are Asian looking alright, with the shape. I promise I don't have anything against big eyebrows but Mulan's kind of overpower her eyes and they look a bit untamed. They are definitely not bad, just comparing to the others. Shang has nice strong arched eyebrows though....

One of the best things about Disney princess films are their princesses(obviously) and songs. As a singer, music lover, and actor, I've always paid close attention to the voices that bring these wonderful characters and songs to life. I am picky about the voices I like but can admit that no princess has a bad voice, some are just much better than others. Share your opinions.
13. Snow White
Let me begin by saying that I'm ranking both singing and speaking voices and that even though she's at the bottom, I don't hate Snow White's voice. Let's be honest here, most people find her voice to be annoying....
