This is my ranking of the princes. This is probably going to be one of my harder articles so please don't be rude.

12. Hans- I can't even describe how much I dislike this character. I hate the idea that the handsome prince has to be a jerk. One of the things I really hate about Frozen is that it mocks the love at first sight of the Walt era princess films. Yes you don't marry a guy you just met but I think most people are smart enough to know that, it's just common sense, yes there is no such thing as love at first sight but that's because they're fairytales and fairytales aren't suppose to be realistic, they're meant for escapism from the real world. Basically my main reason for hating this character is because of Frozen mocking the Walt era princesses.

11. Kristoff- I don't have much to say about Kristoff other than he was gross and lame, moving on.

10. Charming- One of the most boring princes ever created but Cinderella is the second oldest DP film so I hate to be too harsh on this character. My biggest problem with Charming is that he is not memorable and doesn't have much of a role, as Nostalgia Critic says, it's more about the king wanting Charming to get married than Charming himself wanting to get married.

9. The Prince- Like Charming, not particularly memorable but he was the first Disney Prince so I think I should cut this character some slack but I thought he was dull, I don't even remember him having much lines, he was only there at the very beginning of the film and at the very end.

8. Naveen- It's been almost 6 years since I have seen The Princess & the Frog so I don't remember Naveen all that well but I remember him being very lazy.

7. Aladdin- It's hard to decide if I dislike Naveen or Aladdin more. I really can't stand Aladdin. As I mentioned on my updated DP ranking article I can't stand Aladdin's rude personality. I don't like the way he treats the Genie and his friends and I hate his big ego. He's so insecure about the fact that he is poor, I get why he would that way but pretending to be a wealthy prince makes it worse.

6. John Smith- I haven't seen Pocahontas in almost seven years so I don't remember him that well. Both him and the movie are not memorable IMO. There isn't much to dislike about John Smith but he didn't leave much of an impression on me.

5. Shang- Not a bad character but he is just not my taste. I get that he is a general so he has to be serious but again not my cup of tea.

4. Phillip- Now to the princes I love! I know Sleeping Beauty is more about the fairies than Aurora & Phillip but I can't help but not love Phillip. He is just so charming and classy and a real gentlemen that you don't see a lot of these days. He was the first prince to a role. His predecessors didn't have much of a role. Snow's prince role was only woke up Snow White and Charming didn't do much. Phillip's role is kinda similar to the the prince from Snow White but Phillip fought to save Aurora and he was the first Disney Prince to have an actual name. What I love about Phillip was that he didn't care about what status Aurora was in when he was arguing with King Hubert, his father about marrying, he was going to marry Aurora not matter what status she was and it turned out she was the one he was engaged to the whole time, it's amazing when things like that work out, that's Disney for you! (:

3. Flynn Rider- I love this guy! Some people say he is just a copy of Aladdin. I can see where people are coming from but honestly I think he is much better written than Aladdin. I loved how he changed from a cocky thief to a kind gentlemen. I liked how he wasn't a stereotypical one dimensional prince. He had grey areas, he found redemption at the end of Tangled.

2. Beast- He is hands down probably the best written Disney Prince. He started out as a selfish and rude but then he changes as the film grows on. I feel that he is misunderstood sometimes. He got turned into a Beast at the age of 11. That had a huge impact on him. It's understandable why act the way he did at the beginning because of the spell and he was isolated from other people so its understandable why didn't have good social skills at first. I can relate to the Beast because I feel lonely and misunderstood at college.

1. Eric- He has always been my favorite Disney Prince! Eric may come of as shallow because he was attracted to the voice that's all he remembered so it wasn't his fault. If he actually saw what Ariel looked like, he would have loved her. It's shallow but I think he is the best looking prince. I love the way he interacted with Ariel on his tour to his kingdom, the dance in the kingdom is one of my favorite scenes in that movie. I just love how Ariel & Eric are both dedicated in saving each other. The film treats them as equals.

I hope you enjoyed my ranking of the princes article. Comments are welcome but as I said at the beginning of the article please don't be rude, this was my hardest article to write.

My User Icon Made By Myself
This is mostly inspired by the link by PrincessAyeka12. I thought it was really neat the way it gave a chance for people to talk about like interests as well as get to know the user better as a well-rounded person beyond just their DP favorites etc. So I hope you guys don't mind this article and I'd love to hear from you about what we do and/or don't have in common. :)

Behind the Screen Name: I love reading and writing so I wanted to pick a name that was very symbolic for me. I love and strive for balance as I truly believe it is the key to life. My screenname was meant to represent the balance...

I really think he loses it, here... Raging at a person is not explaining to a person your personal view.

Triton is one of those dads in Disney that absolutely makes me squirm. I don’t love him, and I don’t hate him. But I do find him extremely unnerving, and on the same plane of Mother Gothel upsetting. He clearly alternates between being “nice” only sometimes, and then being really “explosively nasty” at other periods. King Triton’s rule is a patriarchy. I think his abusive tendencies, though, stem from insecurities he has within himself. Triton is afraid of the unknown. He's also afraid of not appearing “manly” enough. ( Bizarrely, this also makes me think of Prince Adam and...

Ah yes. Merchandise. Money, in other words. I adore the Disney princesses. They are all unique, and have good qualities. Some are even a little complex and the majority are at least decent role models. That's not how Disney markets them. Well, unless their name is Anna or Elsa. For the first 11 princess, they are downgraded into sparkle obsessed girls that look nothing like they did in their original film. Great princesses are forgotten in merchandise as well. The whole system is downright awful. For the Frozen sisters, Disney markets them as "I don't need a man". They tried that with Merida...

As an adult, I viewed the name Gaston of Beauty and the Beast's villian, Gaston, as Gaston's last name. I only assume its his last name because 1)the triplet girls call him "Monsieur Gaston" which is basically saying "Mr. Gaston" in the opening song called "Belle" in the reprise that Belle sings by herself the line "Madame Gaston, his little wife?" Most of the time saying "Madame (name" would be like saying Mrs. Gaston. And there's the fact Gaston is a first name but it could also be a last name as well. The name of Phantom of the Opera's author.

Recently, I saw a poll on this club about which House Rapunzel would be in at Hogwarts, which got me thinking about that question in relation to all the princesses. I’m an avid Harry Potter fan, so I figured I would lend my unique insights on the matter to all of you lovely people.

But before I begin my analyses, it’s time for some disclaimers!

1. About the Houses. Here’s how I tend to think of the Houses of Hogwarts. (Note: I will be saying the most about Slytherin, since Slytherin is most often distorted.)

Gryffindor: values bravery, daring, bold decision-making, rule-breaking, following...

I decided to write an article on why my favorite Disney Princess.. Is my favorite Disney Princess. Anyways, please keep in mind that this is my opinion, and we may disagree, so respect my opinion, and I will respect yours. Enjoy the article! :)

Snow White is an amazing character, in my opinion. She is my favorite Disney Princess, and is my favorite Disney Character. She is also one of my favorite animated characters, and fictional characters in general. Now, let's talk about why.

She has a mix of what I like in a character, she's sweet and kind, but she isn't a pushover. She can be a bit...

I'm not doing it with the CGI Princesses because I don't particularly like any of their smiles. I mean... they look like real teeth Dx Anyway, here's my list...

9. Pocahontas
As some may know, I think Pocahontas is a really beautiful human being, in and out. But what I don't find beautiful about her is her ways of expression. When she speaks, it sounds like she's faking every type of emotion she's trying to express and the same goes to when she smiles.

8. Mulan
Mulan's smile feels held back so that's why she is in this placement. But I do think it's warm and natural, maybe not as ''impressive''...
