I was re-thinking the Princesses, and I thought it'd be a good idea for me to talk a bit about them, my general feelings and thoughts concerning each of them, which ones I'm neutral, ones I like and ones I don't care about.

Soo...Let's start!

1- Snow White- Never liked her, but never disliked her either. She was always just kinda there for me. I do like her sunny and kind disposition, how she always expects the best of people (that's a rare thing to see nowadays in this jaded world we live in), and she does have a few funny moments in the film (when she imitates Grumpy and she inquires the dwarves at dinner time).

2-Cinderella- I didn't like her when I was little, for some reason. Maybe because I went through my "ugh girliness is so dumb lol" phase, that has thankfully mellowed out. Now I do appreciate her character much more, I admire her courage of remaining hopeful and optimistic in such harsh situations (i would've broken up much, much earlier) and I like her random witty remarks she shows off every now and then.

3- Aurora- Another princess that I like. It's a shame she doesn't get enough screen time, but I never believed she was "weak" or "dumb" as many others thought. I always found her a dreamer and a romantic, and it shows a lot in her scenes. I also like rewatching the movie again and seeing her give those sort-of "sly" grins to her aunts, heheh. Though her character needs more screen time, I do think she is likable, and appealing, in a way.

4- Ariel- Growing up I liked her. I thought she was gutsy and had the balls to go against her "eviil" dad. I rewatched the movie a few months ago and...I changed completely my mind. Though I do appreciate her curious spirit, I found most of her actions reckless, and I doubted of the fact that she was so secure of her deal with Ursula. What made her think dealing with the Sea Witch was a good idea?

5- Belle- She's okay, I guess. I do appreciate the fact that she reads, and it's a unique trait of her. But she was always a sorta "there" character for me, whenever I watched the movie everything else caught my attention and overshadowed her.

6- Jasmine.- Despite Aladdin being my favorite Disney film I'm neutral on Jasmine. I liked her growing up, I liked her sassiness and her rebellious spirit, but the more I watched the film she just stood there for me. I mean, i find her likable, I like how she cries for her freedom and her own choices...But not much else tbh. I like her voice, though, and I do think she's one of the prettiest princesses (and no, not just because she's so sexualized. I find her face very pretty and her hair shape is nice to look at).

7- Pocahontas- While I'm not too fond of the movie I do like her and consider her underrated. I like her nobleness, her bravery, and how she fights for peace. I also find her aesthetic gorgeous, and love how she's animated when she moves.

8- Mulan- Much like Pocahontas, It's a heroine I admire and sorta like but I'm not fond of the movie (Mushu ruins it for me). I like her clumsiness and awkwardness at the start, and I like the scene where she realizes that she wanted to prove herself in a way by going to war.

9- Tiana- Probably my favorite princess. I like her determination and her hardworking, positive attitude.

10- Rapunzel. I like her sunny disposition, how while she's a little naive she's not really "dumb", and i like how layered her hobbies are. But at times she's a little too "manic pixie dream girl"-ish and that stops me from enjoying her fully.

11- Merida- I had to rematch the film again to gain a full appreciation of her, and now I like her. I find her a realistic character, and I like how she grows during the story and admits her faults. While her spoilt attitude at times can be unnerving, she has an adventurous funny side that is easy to like.

12- Anna- Too much like Rapunzel with her clumsiness and naivety , and she's sorta a bland character for me for those reasons. I do like how she never gave up on Elsa, though, that is an admirable trait.

13- Elsa- At the start, she sounds interesting, but the movie doesn't develop her much and it seems she's just a chess piece in Anna's story to move forward, so she doesn't really get proper development (instead she gets a rather inconsistent characterization). While I like her song I do think the character is a little bland at the end of the day (I can't tell what is her exact personality).

So, I guess if I had to make a "favorites" list, It'd be...
1- Tiana
2- Merida
3- Pocahontas
4- Cinderella
5- Mulan
6- Aurora
7- Jasmine
8- Rapunzel
9- Belle
10- Snow White
11- Ariel
12- Elsa
13- Anna

Those girls that Helen heard were Hattie, Auroas daughter, Crystal, Cinderellas daughter and Kai (which means willow tree), Pocahontases daughter. These girls are the most popular at school.
"Look at her. Her mother is not even a princess." Hattie wispered to Kai and Crystal.
"Your right Hattie. But I think we should give her a chance. I mean, its the same situation for Ming, but we gave her a chance. She failed, but we...
