Ever since information about Giants came out, people have been looking up information about all the characters, including Angelina. Many people on the Disney Princess wikia have been saying that she may become an Official DP in 2017, after Giants comes out in 2016. Well I hope this information is true.
I know it is way to early to see if she will become a DP or not, and yes I know Anna and Elsa aren't even inducted yet, but I still gave this topic some thought.
Based on the information we know about Giants and Angelina, the movie is said to take place in Italy. Angelina will probably be Italian. This will add great diversity to the line up. And yes I feel we need to add more diversity to the line up if I did not make that clear. If Angelina is Italian, she will probably have different facial features, such as being brunette, ( most Italians are either blond or brunette) which will be great because we have not had a brunette princess since Belle. I don't really count Rapunzel because her hair in blond in merchandise.
Hopefully her wardrobe will be unique. Merchant girls/women usually wear fitted dresses, with lots of jewelry.
I would also like Angelina to be in the line up because she is a merchant girl. I would really like the line up to have a heroine who is not of royal descent, besides Mulan. She is not a princess, but she is a merchant girl, and they were pretty upper class back in those days.
I also like the idea hat she is involved in a love triangle with Jack ( the protagonist) and Marco ( the tritagonist). Angelina is the deuteragonist who wins the heart of both of them. i would really like to see how this will be played out. Come on lets face it, the last most interesting love triangle we had was in The Hunchback of Notre Dame between Quasimodo, Esmeralda and Phoebus. I will be entertaining to see Marco and Jack not getting along because they both like Angelina.
I feel Angelina will make a great addition to the line-up if she is added. If not, we will just have to wait for Moana, wont we?
