Recently, I did some polls asking which was the favourite out of my favourites. This article, and the ones to follow, just give my opinion of why I like the outfits over the others.
Snow White
Main dress with cape
Out of the three outfits she wears throughout the movie, this is definitely my favourite. I have never liked the collar on this dress, but with the cape, it’s bearable. The cape also finishes off the look of the dress by adding some much needed duller colours, toning down that yellow skirt.
Cinderella
Silver Ball gown
What can I say about this? It’s stunning. So glittery and perfect for her. I don’t really like the choker necklace, but that’s a minor thing. The shoes just add to the perfection of the dress. The one thing I don’t like about this dress is how short the overskirt is. It’d look a lot nicer if it were a bit longer.
Aurora
Blue dress
I prefer this dress over her pink one, because I think the colour goes nicer with her skin tone and lips. The pink tends to clash. The thin shape suits her tall, elegant frame. I haven’t ever really liked the white around the collar, but without it, the dress would look unfinished.
Ariel
Sparkly dress
This dress looks so nice on Ariel. It doesn’t clash with her hair, and doesn’t come with a ridiculously large bow. It looks best when she’s coming out of the water, all purple and open-skirted. The neckline is nice, and overall, this dress just suits her more than the others that she wears. Some of her sequel dresses are definitely better, though.
Belle
Pink dress with coat
The pink dress on its own is nice enough, but with the coat, it looks awesome. The different shades of pink really go well together, and make Belle’s lips look pinker at the same time. The fur lining just makes it even better.
Jasmine
Purple announcement outfit
This outfit looks so much nicer than her blue outfit, IMO. She doesn’t need the bare stomach to look good or sexy or anything. The off-shoulders look nice, and the overskirt adds a more feminine touch to the whole ensemble.
Pocahontas
Forest dress with necklace
Not that there’s much choice for Poca, with her only having one outfit the entire movie. I decided to include the necklace, as it finishes off the look; she wouldn’t be herself without it. The dress suits her, but looks a little short at the sides. A well-suited dress to a forest princess.
Mulan
Green outfit
This outfit is just the perfect blend for Mulan; a nice, female outfit, but not too over the top. It suits her personality. I like the colours more than the outfit she wears at the end. It’s a pity she doesn’t wear them again throughout the movie.
Tiana
Charlotte’s Blue dress
This dress is definitely my overall favourite. It suits her so well. The colour goes just perfectly with her skin tone. The cut and shape suit her body shape so well, and the gloves and sash just finish it off. Such an awesome dress for an awesome princess.
Rapunzel
End dress
I re-watched the movie recently, and noticed that this dress looks more like a bodice and skirt. I still like it more than her main dress. It’s a nicer colour, and a nicer cut, so it suits her more. I’m pretty sure it’s full length (please correct me if I’m wrong), which I think looks nicer than ¾ length.
Merida
Main dress
I can never tell if Merida’s main dress is dark blue or green. Either way, it looks really nice on her. Her light blue dress is nice, but her main dress definitely suits her more. It shows us her personality more, and the belt finishes it right off.

At this point, Fairy Godmother and the 3 good fairies arrive to break the chains that have tying the princesses. Soon, they follow the fairies to where Dee Dee is.
However they are being stop by the Spirit's henchmen and fought off successfully! Finally making their way to Dee Dee's cell and release her. "Thank goodness that you guys came! The spirit is going to kill me soon, come on, let's get out of here!"
But before they could escape, the Spirit arrives and is blocking the main entrance. "So you think you all could escape me? Well, try me first. Then, I will you all pass!"
She starts to attack Dee Dee with her impressive martial arts move while both of them attack as the other princesses look on. They are all impress by Dee Dee's martial arts and cheering for her.

Don't get me wrong, I love Cindy. But she is the most generic princess to me. She's a plain sort of beautiful and doesn't really have any edge going for her that makes her the best. She's more of a symbol of hope than a fleshed out character in her story. Even the voice acting seemed ungenuine at times, like when she cries at the stepmother for locking her in the attic, it sounds reaaaaally fake and not like a real emotional cry for help.
