I didn't know what to put here...
Hello! Thanks for bothering to click on my article : ) I’ve been on the spot for a couple of months now and I think it’s time that I write an article. I’ve only every written one article before this, so forgive me if it’s not that good. I hope that you enjoy it. I just have to say that I like each of the princesses, and I’ve written why I like and dislike each of them. This is my opinion so please respect it, I don’t really like getting rude or nasty replies (I end up crying so please don’t drive me to that) but constructive criticism is most definitely welcome and your very free to comment on your opinion (just do it nicely please).

10. Ariel - The Little Mermaid
Ariel. Is a character that I have very mixed feelings about. Sometimes, I like her, sometimes I don’t, other times I don’t know what to think of her. But I’ve never been a ‘fan’ of hers.
Why I like her: She’s fun. Her determination is good to see, and when she ends up with her happy ending I don’t know about you but I always feel happy. I love her relationship with Flounder – it’s really cute. She’s beautiful and has a beautiful voice actress (<3 Jodi Benson). My favourite scene with her would be exploring the kingdom, she’s so cute and naïve and having so much fun, it’s adorable. Plus she’s a mermaid – which automatically makes you amazing.
Why I don’t really like her: I don’t like her actions. Her impulsiveness has me groaning whenever I watch her. ‘Why did you do that Ariel, don't you realise the consequences?’ I don’t like her disrespect for authority. And she doesn’t learn anything – she has an adventure, gets through obstacles and learns… nothing, no real consequence for her thoughtless actions. But it’s mainly her actions, not her personality I don’t like. And I believe those two factors go together to make a character.
When's it my turn, wouldn't I love? Love to explore that shore up above...

9. Pocahontas - Pocahontas
Pocahontas. I like Poca. Sometimes in her movies (eg. The Cliff Scene, or whenever she sings) I love her. Most of the time I just like her though.
Why I Like Her: she’s awesome. She jumps off a cliff – gracefully. She’s mature, but playful. She’s adventurous, stands up for herself, saves her people, stops a war, SINGS LIKE NOTHING I’VE EVER HEARD. She’s fun, in touch with nature and cares about the people around her. Awesome.
Why I don’t like her as much: she can be boring sometimes. Mainly when she’s talking to John Smith. She’s also not very smart. Very wise – but no real common sense. She also procrastinates, like with telling her father about John and stuff, that kind of annoyed me. But I still like her.
What I love most about rivers is, you can't step in the same river twice. The waters always changing always flowing...

8. Belle - Beauty and the Beast
Belle. Another mixed feeling character, sometimes I love her, other times not so much.
Why I like her: I love her at the start of her movie. Feeling different in her town, not fitting in – very relatable. I love her relationship with her father, and Belle Reprise is amazing. The way that she sacrifices her freedom for her father is such an incredible scene. I like how she learns to love the beast, and accept him, but does not let him push her around. She may be his prisoner, but she’s still a person and will fight. AND READING. SHE LOVES READING <3
Why I don’t like her as much: sometimes I do feel like she thinks she’s better than the other townspeople. And I don’t like how she humiliates Gaston – she could have just said no (sorry I like Gaston as a villain). I do NOT think she is a Mary-sue, but she does get a little dull in the second half of the movie.
Oh, isn't this amazing? It's my favourite part because you'll see, here's where she meets prince charming - but she won't discover that it's him till chapter 3...

7. Jasmine - Aladdin
Jasmine. My favourite heroine as a kid. Why is she so low now? I see her a little differently. I still like her A LOT though.
Why I like her: her sense of humour always makes me laugh. She’s tough, and witty, and brave, and sassy. Jasmine stands up for herself, doesn’t judge a book by it’s cover, is forgiving (of Aladdin), smart, fun, beautiful (with her hair…. and her eyes…..). She was so different from all the other Disney heroines at the time, I guess that’s why I loved her so much. I love how she wants to marry for love and is a little rebellious.
Why I don’t like her as much: she doesn’t know what she has. People in her kingdom are starving and living in poverty – and even after she has seen this – does nothing about it. She just complains about being a princess. Yes, she did have some reasons to complain but she did abandon her duties.
I'm like a shooting star - I've come so far. I can't go back to where I used to be...

6. Aurora - Sleeping Beauty
Aurora. We have reached the princesses that I love whole heartedly. I love Aurora. Ironically, I did not grow up with her (I barely saw Sleeping Beauty as a kid) and when I did watch it a few years a go I got bored. I became an Aurora-not-liker (I didn’t hate her, but I disliked her). THEN I bought Sleeping Beauty on video and loved it – and her. I began reading articles and opinions that supported Aurora, and agreed with them. So, even though she’s only in sixth – I love her.
Why I love her: she's a breath of fresh air. She's sweet, gentle, loving, dreamy, romantic. I love how she's shy, and a little naive and innocent. She's graceful and elegant, I love how she plays and talks with her animals friends. I've always liked these things about her, but I recently noticed what a good role model she is - and what a good character she is.
She has a lot of respect for authority (unique for a heroine) and when she finds out she is a princess, even though she is in love with Phillip, goes to the castle to take on her responsibilities anyway. WOW. Seriously I have so much respect for her.
Why I dislike her: Unfortunately for Aurora, she isn’t in her movie that much – so I don’t have as much time to connect and become invested in her character. She doesn’t have as big of an impact on me as the others.
I wonder, if my heart keeps singing, will my song go winging to someone, who'll find me and bring back a love song to me...

5. Snow White - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Snow White. I love the first animated heroine, the first Disney heroine, and the first Disney princess.
Why I love her: why wouldn’t I love her? Sweet, kind, compassionate, naïve, innocent, graceful, dainty, feminine, lovely, ever cheerful and positive. If these are qualities that I should not like – please tell me why. I love how she runs the dwarfs house like a business, and acts like a mother too them, being sweet but also taking charge. She’s adorable. And has an epic voice.
Why I dislike her: her *almost* ever cheerfulness/positivity can be a little overwhelming sometimes, but I think I’m just jealous that I can’t be like that. Her gulliableness can get a little annoying sometimes too.

4. Cinderella - Cinderella
Cinderella. Growing up as a kid I hated her. I thought she was overrated. Now I think that her face is just over used in the franchise (if that makes any sense) and that her character is very underrated.
Why I love her: well… she’s Cinderella! She manages to stay sweet, caring, loving, generous, and have a kind and gentle soul through years of emotional and physical abuse (forcing your step daughter to be a servant and do hours of strenuous tasks for no pay in her own home whilst being cruel and treating her awfully is both emotional and physical in a way). And through all that she manages to stay hopeful and kind. BEST ROLE MODEL EVER. I could go on about her incredible qualities – but that would take a while. Just know I love her. She works so hard, and ends up with a happy ending – YAY! :D
Why I dislike her: I don’t. I just love the others more.

3. Tiana - The Princess and the Frog
Tiana. Is awesome. That’s a fact. She does not deserve the hate she gets. She’s awesome.
Why I love her: her determination. She works so hard to achieve her dream. She over works, wanting to get her restaurant and make her father proud, it’s so cool that she’s bossy. What other heroine has such a normal and relatable trait as being a little bossy? I love her relationship with her parents, and her value of family. Her relationship with Lottie, how they are so different but still friends (she never asks Lottie for money, and is just a good friend to her) her relationship with Louis and Ray is so sweet, and mostly her relationship with Naveen. How Tiana learns to grow as a person, lighten up a little and have fun, and achieves her dream, whilst finding new ones too : ).
Why I dislike her: Sometimes she can be a bit of a ‘stick in the mud’ – but she has every reason to be. Her life hadn't been fun, and she worked so hard. So I don't really dislike anything about her.

2. Mulan - Mulan
Mulan. Amazing. I recently wrote an article on the Childhood Animated Movie Heroines spot, so I’m going to copy some of what I said out for Mulan...
Why I love her: Not only does Mulan risk her life for her father by joining the army, be completely awesome by owning everyone in the army and then defeating the Huns and SAVING ALL OF CHINA, but Mulan is also a great character in her personality. Her insecurities because she can’t be the perfect bride or daughter are so real. She’s so quirky and hilarious, but can be really deep and meaningful too. Perfect balance of character. She never thinks she’s all that great, but in reality she’s phenomenal. She’s in my top five favourite animated heroines.
Why I dislike her: I don’t. She’s awesome, I just prefer my number 1.

1. Rapunzel - Tangled
Rapunzel. Yes, that’s right. Rapunzel is my number 1, and I love everything about her. Granted, she does have her flaws, but I still like those too. Some people say that she’s a ‘rip-off’ of the other princesses. I don’t think she’s a rip off. She’s similar to many of the other princesses – that’s something that I love! Rapunzel is like a mix of some of my favourite characters. They took great qualities from great characters and made another great character. And to be fair, she’s a Disney Princess. If you haven’t noticed, they’re all pretty similar.
Why I love her: she’s so creative. Strong willed, determined, dreamy, kind, sweet, naïve, smart, compassionate and so funny. I love how she’s like a classic heroine but with modern qualities as well! Combining two wonderful but different types of characters. She’s so sweet and cute, she reminds me a lot of my friends. Her character development is amazing to watch. How she grows from the sweet and naïve girl into a strong young woman – who still has her original qualities. She’s fun, adventurous, and just wonderful. I love how she accepts Eugene and grows to love him, and is willing to give up her freedom to save him. Everyone loves her – because she’s so sweet and lovely (it is a fairy tale after all). I am blown away by her character every time I watch Tangled, and Rapunzel will continue to be my favourite heroine and princess <3

When Rapunzel heard the call from outside her tower, she assumed it was her mother, and her heart sank. Normally she'd be glad to see her, but after their argument, she was less eager.

Well, it wasn't really an argument. Those things kind of required two people arguing. It was more Mother lecturing and Rapunzel listening. But it was unpleasant enough for Rapunzel to feel bad about it even after her mother left.

When she went over to the tower window, she looked down—and gasped.

It definitely wasn't her mother. She didn't have too clear a view from her tower, but the figure at the bottom was...

Before we say goodbye to not just this year but also this decade, it's time I write an article that I wanted to write for a long time.
As a lot of you know, and for those who don't, Frozen is a movie/franchise that means a lot to me. Without it, I wouldn't even be on this site. It all started back in October of 2014,when I started to form a crush on the fictional character of Elsa. Originally, it was because I thought she was incredibly gorgeous, and I still think so, to this day. But, as the days went by and did more of my research, I realized how similar Elsa was to me and I began to relate...

1. How does it feel to be Fan of the Month?
I was Fan of the Month once a long time ago and while back then it was a bit of a shock this time, it's not that surprising :) I don't mean that in a self-centered way, comparing to how active I was in the past to now, I like to think I'm somewhat well-known for a ton of users here like KataraLover or sunnyfields. I'm honored to be the first Fan of the Month since it has been brought back.

2. Who is your favorite princess and why?
My favorite princess is Mulan because I used to relate to not being good enough for my family and wanted to do something...

Today's rewatch: The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning
Last time watched: 2008

How much did I like this movie as a kid?

I didn't. Like, at all. In fact, after we see how Ariel's mom died that was it for me. Okay, so let me start from the beginning; If you've read my articles about TLM and TLM 2, you know that TLM is one of my most favorite movies and was a huge part of my childhood so when I was 15 years old I found out that there was going to be another movie of course I was excited!...

Snow White

Snow White is well known for her kindness and optimism — both of which act as her greatest strengths, as they've guided her safely through the various hardships faced throughout her life. She is quick to charm, winning the trust and admiration of the Prince, forest animals, and the Seven Dwarfs rather quickly, proving her kindness and pleasant aura makes her a beloved figure. Coined as the "Fairest One of All", Snow White's beauty lies both within her physical appearance and pure heart. With no negativity within her, Snow...

O and R 1

Personally, I thought Mena did a great job for the most part, but Aladdin was changed from being a confident smooth talker to a socially awkward dork (and I mean dork in a nice way). The original Aladdin had a couple awkward moments where he stumbled over the right words or said the wrong thing but they barely happened. Remake Aladdin suddenly became incredibly awkward at the drop of the hat at one point in the movie. Some people probably...

Some people say he's forgettable but I think people automatically dismiss him just because he's not dramatic, theatrical and "hammy" like other Disney villains. I personally think he's pretty badass and ruthless.

Shan Yu is actually kind of similar to Mulan in that while everyone agrees that they both do remarkable things, some people think their personalities are on the boring side but I think it's unfair to dismiss any princess who isn't overtly dreamy, bubbly or feisty in some way (Mulan) and any villain who isn't over the top and in your face (Shan Yu) as boring. There are other ways to...

J-Pop Moment.
Hi guys, this list is something like the K-Pop list that I made previously. Only this time, it's their Japanese counterparts. Ready?

1) Moonlight Densetsu (DALI)

Taken from the popular Japanese anime, Sailor Moon. This song has always been part of my childhood and being a Die-Hard Sailor Moon fan, the princess will support them, especially on International Women's Day!

2) Shunken Sentimental (Scandal)

This is the first time that I'm listening to it, and while doing so, I notice that it sounds like some of Paramore's songs. In particularly, Misery Business.

3) Hitohira No Hanabira (Stereopony)
