"OOOOOHHH!! MIGUEL! MIGUEL! MIGUEL! MIIIIIIGUUEEEEELLLL!!!" Charlotte shouts as she bursts through the entrance of the coffee shop. Miguel is present in a booth and slowly slides down his seat in embarrassment. "Yes? Lottie?" he asks shyly. Without paying attention to her best friends attitude, she scrambles to sit down. "The cutest guy in town asked me out on a special DATE!! We're going to have a picnic near the lake!!!!" As always, Charlotte screams like a fangirl that had just seen her idol. "W-wow. That's great." Miguel says like he doesn't care. Which he doesn't. What he remembered was spending time with his best friend. Now, someone else was going to take his place only to the next level. "I'm gonna meet him in half an hour!" Lottie squeals and hugs the diner menu to her chest. "Well, that's good news." Miguel says. "I have to go see Tulio anyway." he lies.
Miguel finds his wingman, Tulio. A black-haired gambler that's always making bets. "Heeeeeeeeey Miguel!" The two buddies perform their little-known complicated handshake. Since they're men now, they've outgrown the handshake of Patty Cake "So, how's it been?" Tulio questions. Miguel doesn't know what Tulio is talking about until it comes to mind. "Oh. That. She's. Already. With. Someone. Else." Miguel says softly. Tulio is surprised at his friend. He had never realized that Miguel, for the first time, was jealous. "Oooooooooh. Looks like sooooomebody's jeeeeeeaaaaaloooous!" he coos. Miguel scoffs. He hated to admit it, but indeed he was jealous. Miguel had been having a slight crush that was growing time after time. "Okay, maybe I am a LITTLE jealous. So what? It's not like she and the guy are getting married." "And THAT'S the problem. You don't know this dude so that means she's hiding him from you. If you were her BEST friend, Lottie would tell you." Tulio makes a very good point. But Miguel always hated that he was ALWAYS right about EVERYTHING. "Meet me at the Shoreline Lake, I'll tell you all about my plan."
