I had to do some research on this once and found that AI actually tends to retain the same biases (especially racial biases) that humans do, because it's trained on data that is itself biased. Actually might be a huge problem going - govts are increasingly using AI to assess who public services are provided to, and police are using it to assess reoffending risk. Both have been shown to be treat minorities less favourably due to data bias.

Tbh I think AI resume screening will be inevitable to some extent, especially in the first few phases of recruitment when they're narrowing the field.

I'm not entirely against it coz that would be pointless, but I hope it has some checks and balances in place, and that developers are cognisant of the data bias problem.

Anything can be programmed to have bias. I think this is a terrible idea.
