Apparently fanpop wants to be bitchy and make my non-blurry pics blurry -_-

Was previously ambivalent to this issue but the US election has given me some misgivings about the presidential system: is there anything to stop it becoming a "popularity contest" instead of the contest of party policy it should be? The fact that PM-turned-dictator (lol) Recep Erdogan wants to constitutionally amend Turkey into a presidency has also made me think about it.

There's many arguments, for both sides, regarding government accountability, stability, checks and balances, etc. But I'll let you peeps talk.

It's been doing that to me too, like no matter what image I choose or how HQ it was before it goes all blurry.

I was also more or less on the fence. Now I don't know too much about the parliament but with the American system the way it is now I feel like it's just going in a bad direction. Like you said it's getting to be a high school style popularity contest anymore. And both sides are so corrupt. In short I'm not sure if I think that the parliament is necessarily good but it looks heavenly by comparison.
