Kevin: I think he (Damon) has such a long road to haul before he can ever be a viable option in her (Elena's) eyes. He’s done so many horrible things – his attack on Jeremy being the worst. I don’t know how you ever get over such a deliberately evil move. It’s going to take a long time for her to get over that. But as Katherine said, hate is the beginning of most love stories. Damon fell in love with Elena because she is sweet and genuine and nothing like Katherine. And if Elena DID give in to Damon and kiss him, I'd be like, "Wtf?" Seriously, I'd be pissed, but she handled everything so perfectly. she was worried for him, when he kissed her she didnt slap him, she wasnt mean to him, she was so gentle with him becuase she cares about him. 2x01 just gave me more reasons to ship DE, in my opinion. And this is coming from an SE shipper!
