I'm beginning to think that this thing that changes the dynamic of the S/D/E love-triangle will actually be Damon getting bitten. He'll have provoked Klaus which will have tipped him over the edge, something which angers everyone and a decision Damon will regret. Then he gets bitten by Klaus... which will be the turning point in the love-triangle after the pictures we've seen.

Damon is so iperprotective with Elena, and doesn't give to her the chance to choose what to do because he LOVES HER. She's his love and he doesn't want to lose her. So, for the '' people who were on set and saw Damon biting or kissing Elena '' thing.. I believe it's a kiss. In Gone With The Wind, there's first a kiss between them when she rejected him. Same in the 2x1 for D/E. Then, there's a passionate kiss that Scarlett enjoys too and I think it's the scene we're gonna see in 2x22, on the screen.
