Season 7?

I heard there were rumors about a season 7, and I also heard Ian hasn't signed up for it yet. But I thought there wasn't going to be a season 7 without Ian. So, if there's a season 7, without Ian, but with Nina and Paul, what does that mean for Delena? We didn't go through all this, just to have a Stelena endgame by default, right? I trust the writers and the story, but they can only do so much if the most important male actor can't stick around for one more season.
