Because there is so much mystery behind him.

Skipper is my favorite character as well. He's a great character and all of the mystery that surounds him makes him very interesting.

Rico is my favorite because his craziness is hilarious.

t's hard picking between them all, but I gravitate towards Kowalski. I like how he over analyzes everything but is ignorant of the obvious. Remember how in the episode “Go Fish” he couldn't figure out what the license plate meant? Cracked me up how he went to all the trouble trying to break it down in a formula.

Skipper is my favourite and I agree with stargazer4ever, there is really something mysterious about him:). And I also like the fact that he is both strict and caring.

..Honestly, I think about it every time I answer a question like this, and the answer's always the same. Kowalski is my favorite. No, not because I think he's "sooo cute" (even if I do) but because he just gets me laughing every time, no matter what mood I'm in. He's really smart with a little bit of crazy, and he just reminds me so much of myself. I love how he's so smart, he has trouble figuring out the simplest things, like the copy machine( Operation: Plush and Cover) and the map of the zoo and its symbols 'which appears to be Aztec in origin' (Popcorn Panic), he just kills me. Way back when, though, it used to be Skipper, and currently, Rico is a super-close second. I do have increased admiration of Private, though; he seems a lot cooler to me lately.

Yay for Rico! Anyone who barfs up chainsaws and flamethrowers is my new best friend!!!

Im sorry but without Skipper there in the first place NONE of the other penguins would be where they are. He taught them everything they know. Took them under his wing and trained them to his best ability! Skipper remains the number one BEST penguin outta them all weather you like it or not. And I TOTALLY agree with Sandrei! He is ALWAYS sure to tell the others how good they are at what they do. Hes not a heartless leader and he cares for his men very much.

He´s really cute and sweet

Rico's the greatest! I really love his actions in both the movies and the series. I almost think of him as two different characters. In the movies he's the hitman, he silenty obeys to Skipper with a hint of lust for murder. In the series he has other crazy stuff that I love, like the doll, vomiting, Kaboom, the haircut, the scar and such... I remember his first regurgitating in the movie and I noticed it sounded like he would suffocate on that rather small item -paperclip- but in the movies he has less trouble with a payphone... So yeah, he has a split personality or something whom I love both.
