Ok, so we still have New Year's Eve and New Year's day, we have Dia de Reyes (Three Kings Day, Jan 6, on this day we actually receive more presents) and then Las Octavitas (Jan 7th- 15th) which is 8 more days for more parrandas, and holiday food..after the Octavitas Christmas is officially over. Of course right after the Octavitas there's the San Sebastian Street Festival(arts, crafts, food and music along San Sebastian street in Old San Juan, that ends with a street parade, VERY popular festival) I believe that when this festival is over us Puerto Ricans actually believe or feel Christmas is over...So I have a looong way to go! Celebrating Christ's birthday, visiting friends, relatives, etc. Enjoying the happy-looking decorations, watching the Christmas specials, etc. The happiest time of the year, and towards New Year's, it's ending. Especially when people let the frivolousness of the every-day get in the way of how we all should really be acting towards one another: Peaceful, happy, loving, and joyful.
