Christianity Question

How do you feel about this?

i find this sickening :(

Not my style but I think it is OK simply because they are carrying the word of Christ. If I were to think anything else I would be judging. There are places in this world where children are taught how to steal, to prositute, and much worse. Better they are here than there.

I bet people would be having heart attacks if this was an Islamic camp instead of a Christian camp... just demostrating, again, our bias against Islam, or, at least our bias towards Christianity...

If that's truly what these children want and believe then it's up to them. If this is not what they want then they'll find that out for themselves in time. I don't believe that they should be forced into it though, if they wanted to go to this "jesus camp" then that's fine.
Now I could talk on about the things this camp is teaching for a very long time but I'm only going to touch on one of them. War. War is the LAST thing that the world needs, it causes death and countless men and women to have severe mental trauma that will stay with them forever and it's simply not my idea of what's "right". From what I know of Jesus I don't think that he would be too keen on teaching children to kill and maim people with different views from their own (considering he was a victim of such things, right?) it just doesn't seem "Christian" if you ask me.
I'm gonna stop there before I get on the subject of Harry Potter and that the author, J.K Rowling, is a christian because that's just going to get me talking about witches and pagans and how we're the ones demonized yet this is going on in the christian community...... Well I'm already rambling so yea.. that's it lol.

This video makes me sad. This is not teaching. I do not see alot of difference between these methods and ones used by muslim extremeist to indoctrinate young children into radical Islam.
People are not taught to speak in tounges, it is a gift given to some, not all.
Where is the teaching that God is love?
Where in the Old Testament was a "Fictional" character put to death.
What's going on with the war paint. That has nothing to do with Spiritual warfare.
It is hard for me to judge on this small portion without seeing the whole camp. From what I do see, the kids are not being taught to live for Christ. They are being taught to live against the world. It may sound the same, but they are very different. I don't know, this just left me feeling disturbed.

It's great that they love Jesus and all, but... to me it was kind of scary. They don't show any mercy, which is what our God is supposed to be about: mercy and love. They seem to only love people that love God.

I am intensely saddened for those children. We as Christians are supposed to be on our guard for sin, but there is no need for wars. This teaching to me is radical, and they are telling these kids to fight, not love. Love one another is a command from God. Treat others how you want to be treated.

This is also sort of scary, seeing how the kids are being taught to be zealous warriors. Christians need to represent God and Jesus for who he is, a merciful and powerful Creator.

People like these are what makes non-believers hate Christians. I am just sad.
