They are both very good.... and I wish for the love of the God you believe in that we could all just get along!

What I mean is... I'm sick of people just picking one movie to like and bad mouthing the other one... There was absolutely nothing perverted about Willy Wonka in the Burton movie! Stop it! You know who you are.. haters <.< >.> ...

The new one cause of Johnny. I love the other one, it's a classic, but i'm a fan of Depp. He's hilarious in this film.

I hate Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory! It gave me nightmares when I was small.
Charlie and the chocolate factory was so good. I love it! Two of my favorite things came together; Roald Dahl and Tim Burton.

Well I have to say I'm not a Tim Burton fan, and I did go to
see the new movie when it was relased, with reservations,
because when, film makers today want to remake the classics,
they tend to screw it up !
But I do have to take my hat off to Mr, Burton. I really did think
he did a wonderful job of recreation the old classic Willy Wanka
and the chocolate factroy.
We still love the classic, I love Granda Joe's I've got a golden
ticket, And Gen Wilder's pure Imaganation number.
and now I'm awaiting Alice in wonderland, like to be awsome as well.
P.S If MR Burton ever read this note,
I would love to see what Tim's vision of the
wizard of oz, would be ???

I like them both quite a bit. Liked the boat trip though in "willy" alot more. I'd say its 51% to 49% for Charlie over Willy.

So much more true to the book, and the characters are less exaggerated. However, Gene Wilder played Willy Wonka better than Johnny Depp.

the old one sucks! I hate gene wilder and the bunch of acting on the old one! I prefer the new one the BEST! Bcuz of Freddie Highmore, Jordan Fry, but mostly, Johnny Depp.

Well, The Tim Burton version was released by The Walt Disney Company. And the Wonka's factory entrance song is based on "It's a Small World" from Disney World. BTW, Did Roald Dahl do Mary Poppins?

The new one kept more to the book than the old one did, and it has to be said, I am a huge fan of Dahls.

The old one is good too, but I much prefer the newer one because Johnny Depp😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

I prefer the new West End production and the book.
